Honestly wasn't that hard, worst part was forgetting to get a 27mm socket beforehand and having to leave to get one. Get an extension for the 27mm socket too 😅

@@Nonx47 i saw someone mounting the perrin up with the AOS so it should work, but i heard the perrin wont clear the cobb intercooler if you want that. might clear the ETS intercooler though

Question, my car is almost at the expiration of factory warranty… I want to add the AOS .. does it matter if your running synthetic oil install AOS then go to a 5w30 oil ?

The oil type doesn't matter for the AOS, but you will want to run an oil which is compatible with DI engines.

This looks identical the the Legacy/Outback XT. Does the custom bracket for the canister line up on the L/OB XT suspension mounts also? Also I heard these are bad for any climates where winters reach freezing temperatures.

We have had a few clients make a custom bracket and use the system on Legacy/Outback XT. Any PCV system (even the OEM system) is prone to freezing of condensation in the system in extreme negative temperatures. The line to keep an eye on is the AOS drain hose. This is the hose that allows separated oil to drain back into the system. As long as the vehicle is warmed up before driving and not exposed to constant negative temperatures while not running it will not be an issue. In extreme cases the oil could back up, but the 1 liter volume of the can effectively covers any temporary backup situations.

How dose it hold up in the far north climate, worried about condensation freezing in the cup or possibly hoses and splitting them ?

Like the OEM PCV system, the hoses may be plugged by frozen condensation in extreme cold. (Negative Temps) The hoses are not going to tear from this. Always allow your vehicle to fully warm up and keep it garaged in these kinds of temps to avoid any issues. Again, this is no different than the OEM PCV system in that aspect.

It would be best to consult with your dealer regarding warranty questions. However, the dealer is not able to completely void your warranty. The dealer must prove that your modification caused the failure in order to deny coverage.

Yes, this will prevent oil from entering the intake and coating the back of the valves, which leads to carbon deposits.

does it make any sense to direct the acidic micro carbons vapors from the crankcase and reintroduce these contaminates into the unfilter air flow and fly back into the combustion's chamber to mix with the combustion cocktail and then on toward the oxygen sensors and out into the converter to build up and cause the ECM to pump out more fuel into the fuel injection process? BTW I do not want to create lots of back pressure to blow out the cheap seals and gaskets that mfgs enbrace!

The OEM PCV system recirculates these gasses back in to the intake stream unfiltered as well. However, with the OEM system you also get all of the aerosolized oil being recirculated as well. This system allows that oil to drop out of suspension while maintaining the function of the PCV system.
