Oh my goodness; you are definitely “one fab teacher”!!! I’ve just finished up my 23rd year of teaching middle math and am now transitioning to 4th grade math. Love your classroom! It looks so cozy and welcoming! I wanted to ask, what are the workfolders, that the kids have to do at first? What is in them? Do you choose work or is there stuff they haven't finished? And how do you handle "errors"? Does your children have to correct them (in books, on worksheets, ...). Thank you for your great content. What do you do for Firstie of the Week? Is it kind of like Special Helper?

It's like the Star Student of The Week. They're the line leader all week, they pick all the GoNoodles for the week, Monday they share their poster and this includes family photos, etc. Tuesday they bring in their favorite book to read or I can read it to the class, Wednesday their parent sends in a video, letter, song, or poem about them, Thursday they bring in their favorite toy and share, and Friday they earn a special certificate and they choose the next Firstie of The Week.
