Reiterating that you shouldn't spend too much time practicing and focusing on aim. When you review your vods, aim should always be the last thing you try and critique about a situation. If you are always fighting with a height advantage, for example, your aim really doesn't need to be anything better than average. Focusing on "Oh if only my aim was god tier I would have won that fight" can distract you from the places where you can make bigger and more consistent improvements faster.

1000%, I needed to hit this point harder. Why I mentioned valuing positioning, but its clear I did not do it justice. Since this is an aim guide, I am making the assumption of aim "only". If all positioning is correct. Let's say both are using positive cover and good team synergy, what mechanically went wrong?
@frozenkuku

Yeah but it depends I guess. You ultimately need to know your skill level. Right now I'm at the level where my positioning and game sense is pretty good and I'm aware of it in game. But most of the time I die because I couldn't do more damage in that short window of opportunity. At some point it does come down to really "I gotta work on my aim".

A quick update 3 days later: This already gives me signifficant improvemnts. I think I was stack in some tasks that wasn't that beneficial anymore for me. I had my first 3k game where I didn't get my badge because of the bug and KD is noticably up. Amazing tasks!

I've come across the same opinion before regarding dynamic clicking and game carry-over. Same person I heard the opinion from suggested that if you were aim training to improve clicking ingame, you should probably mostly prioritize on static(and tracking) and not worry about every dynamic benchmark scen. He touted bounce scenarios as a perfect example of scenario type that had poor carryover to most games. Popcorn is better but still, may not be useful depending on the game. Pasu probably carries over quite well but it does lack z-axis. I think it makes sense since dynamic clicking tasks are essentially static + precise tracking mechanics wise, but with a lot of extra elements(multiple target watching, target reading and routing)

Hi Dazs mayb can do a guide on how you play cover to cover on open map areas like Olympus, or how to do the slide reload together so when pushing you can already straight get back to the fight same as slide hide n heal instead of just running and try to get to the cover first then only start to heal n how u always return fire first instead of running away first, I think more technical things like this does more help in apex as I’m still struggling with this kind of effective tactics to better play apex, thanks

Thanks Dazs for you videos and dedication it really helps everyone in the Apex Legends community.

me too I'm 38 years old with a kid, I want to jump on and have fun but having to train for a computer game is quite annoying. Also I play drums so when I'm training for a game I think I could be practising my drums instead. I get destroyed in Apex in EVERY exchange. It actually gives me a bit of gamer rage which is pretty sad at 38 years old.

yeah I'm 28 and feel the same. after a long day of work, aim training is just something I don't feel like doing. I'd not say I usually get destroyed because I consider myself slightly above average, but man deep down I miss the days when people would just play games to have fun with none of that aim training, high refresh rate monitors, 8khz mouse bullshit. you wouldn't have to "train" anything because people would not care that much aside from pro scene which was still coming together. I never did any of that aim training stuff in my life, but people get so obssessed and competitive with an online game that I feel like I'm starting to lag behind

i would focus on a consistent posture, so that when you are off, you know what adjustments to make, and not just randomly change things ....also i would learn how to wrist aim, (two mnk players who are wrist aimers, faide and lamic) when wrist aiming with a balance grip on your mouse, there is almost no recoil when you hip fire with smg on mnk, this is not the case if you arm aim ....the spray will flutter and not be a beam. i actually think this is why roller hip fire seems so accurate, its because you don';t have the arm friction affect. also a balance grip is super important. as the most common apex aiming motion is actually just a simple left to right horizontal line. a blanced grip will make aim smoothing left to right, and opposite direction way more consistent. last tip, when you are firing your r9, if you can't see the bullet casing shells being ejected from your r9 as you fire, it means you are way to close to the screen, you are not going to have much game sense when you are fighting.

Thanks a lot buddy for this video! I have been consistently training using your AimLabs routines. Question: Why would you recommend splitting static clicking and tracking to separate days? If I aim train 30 min every day, would you say its better to split the exercises?

So I suck at apex on PC. I use to rock Apex Mobile. On console I was.. meh. Decided I wanted to change things and am picking up Aimlabs for M&K. Is the playlist in the comments suggested for someone brand brand new to Apex? Because I'm so out of the loop to the game that I'm practically back to being a new player. Hell, my PC account doesn't even have any characters unlocked because I haven't placed well enough to even unlock anything yet after 6+ hours of play. I just started a remote job and will be listening to a lot of training material and would love to be able to sort of space out and work on aimlabs while listening to audio/non-video material. But if this isn't a good start point then I'd also like to, ya know, not start at the wrong place.

different guns have different way of firing. most smgs, you want to hip fire first then ADS, where most assualt rifles like flatline or r301 works much better when you ADS then hip fire ....this style of shooting not only is the most efficient way of targeting with those weapons, it also changes your straffe speed, which is the hardest thing for your enemy to track and predict (cause the speed is not constant) basically you need to figure out what is the best way to shoot each gun. for instance, scout, and repeater, those guns are designed to be hip fired when crouching, you get almost 100% accuracy.

@Dazs
@Dazs 8 ай бұрын
You don't have to. It can even be helpful to match your ADS sensitivity to Aim Lab. FOV can be adjustable depending the scenario. Just remember FOV does not change your sensitivity, it will impact how much you see. Because you see more or less, it looks like the movement is larger or smaller. I hope that is helpful! :)

Both are different sensitivity settings. You should train both. In general build comfort at different sensitivity settings when you hit a wall to build overall muscle control.

aiming is the pretty much the only reason i lose every fight. Ive spent around 350-400 hours doing aim drills like verhaulsts still missing every shot. My genetics are trash so i cant gain muscle memory, more i use a sens the worse ill get with it. I improve when I change it my aim becomes godly & then 3-4 weeks later i suck again

I’ve never heard someone say this, but I have a similar pattern when changing sens now that I think about it.
@Dazs
@Dazs 8 ай бұрын
Might be a few things going on here. But positioning is also a factor. - As you improve MMR gets really insane on Apex so could be that - For changing sens, it could be testing you and making you more aware to not take certain fights or play more careful. As you get more comfortable your positioning could go out the window.
