2023 Alumni Achievement Award recipient, Rodney Yip, Computer Science ’82

Rodney Yip graduated from TMU with a degree in computer science in 1982. He retired from IBM Canada in 2015 after working in the IT industry for 33 years. A thinker and tinker by nature, Rodney enjoys working on projects that propel TMU into the future, such as outreach programs at the Ontario Science Centre and the Maker Festival. His current TMU projects include the Indigenous Medicine Garden atop the Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex, the Intraosseous Medication Infusion project with the Midwifery Program, and the Computational Public Safety Lab with the Department of Computer Science. Rodney is a member of the Design Fabrication Zone as well as the Science Discovery Zone.
