2023 Annual Appeal: A Year of Belonging

As 2023 comes to a close, we are grateful for all that came together to make this year a Year of Belonging. When we look back, we are blown away by the experiences we made together. We excavated the missing trial transcript of the men who killed Emmett and gave sight into the courtroom where Mamie incited the Civil Right Movement. We launched a new radio show and podcast highlighting brilliant artist-activists, grew our youth program The Light to new heights and opened up a House of Belonging series for all. This work and more was made possible by the commitment of our artists, board, donors, funders staff and volunteers as we work towards finalizing plans for our new home.
