Fernando is so good. He knew that you cannot take turn 9 and 10 cossecutively on the inside or outside, you either do 9 inside 10 outside or 9 outside 10 inside, he knew this and forced hamilton (by coming out from turn 8 with much better traccion and staying on the outside) to make him do turn 9 on the inside so he could switch to the the inside in turn 10 aswell as having DRS advantage on the straight, beacuse he was behind Ham on detection zone. No one did something like it that weekend, not even in F2 or F3. Truly a racecraft genius🤯.

The car is still great and will be great again either in tracks of high degradation or tracks with slow-medium corners like Monaco or Singapore. Also this is the base let’s see if they out develop their competitors thanks to the higher development time or if they get out developed by their competitors thanks to the superior infrastructure. Alonso really deserves to be credited as one of the best drivers of all time. He has shown on multiple occasions his quality, even with thrashy cars, he has always destroyed his teammate and managed to make something incredible. I really hope he gets his Indy500 win at some point in time, just so he can cement his value for eternity with that well deserved Triple Crown. He is 42, yet he drives like a top 20 year old, time is not a thing when you are that gifted. On a side note, Aston Martin's result is just a proof that the Mercedes engine is good, and that the real issue with the Mercedes cars is on their bodywork. Mercedes needs to put their ego aside and rebuild their bodywork on the way ALL the other teams have gone.
