One thing I'd like to say to all young riders or youngsters who started to ride from the NS and RS era, No doubt those two are most fun, most nimble, and fastest Pulsar available. But it's because of the KTM sourced 200cc engine, which has a great top end. For me they aren't real Pulsars. I started riding bikes 11 years ago, with a Pulsar 150 DTSi. The exhaust note, the mid rpm rush, intake noise and a beefy sound (rather than the RS and NS screaming nature), that's the real Pulsar since 2001. I'm not saying the RS and NS are bad. They are more than the Pulsar badge, they deserve a new name series. But this, the N250, the one I own right now, is something nostalgic and emotional for me!

I use Pulsar 150 TD, and I genuinely want to stick with the original Pulsar lineup. It kinda sucks as they have discontinued Pulsar 180. My first love was 180

NS & RS is love. Bajaj did the right thing deriving from the KTM 200 engine, but Bajj has added its own magic to it. Triple Spark DTS-i Engine with single overhead cam shaft. With modified Bore and stroke. The only identical part left is the Liquid Cooler. So its not a KTM copy, Bajaj actually did some improvements to churn out better fuel economy while reducing the power & torque marginally. So its unmistakably a pulsar.

@martho... What's the mileage you are getting and maintenance cost of it

@@ygk1 I'm getting an average of 34-36 in mix condition, 40 in highways, and even down to 28 in heavy traffic (without pillion). Did up to the 1st service, which had cost me around rs 950. There's no such major maintenance in between, just keep the chain slack minimal and chain lubricated (Edit: The stock engine oil they put "Bajaj DTSi 10000 20w50" works best for clutch operation. But the biggest gripe is the clunky gearshifts with that oil. I suggest you look for other 20W50 oils available in the market, and especially Fully synthetic ones)
