BTW I do bore size, but less tight than when I was playing with Autococker. It use to be super important on closed bolt system to avoid barrel rolling first shot, but with open bolt, bore size is less important. That's why I only have 3 bore now, while I use to have every step of .002 in Karni days. Bore sizing loose is less stressful on cold days and brittle paint. my 2 cts :-)

Agreed 100% Would prefer to not break paint and not shoot as straight than break paint when it's cold out!

Great job John. I learned back in the 90s that barrel paint match matters. My cocker wouldn’t it above 250. Took it back to Brad and what’s going on? He said barrel bore was to large. He put a 688 on it and it shot in the 300s. But I have seen in recent years that over boring my barrel on my EGO11 helped with consistency and accuracy. 🤷‍♂️

Yes that is due to the Cocker being a closed bolt paintball gun, so when the ball is loaded it has already passed the ball detents and is now sitting in the barrel. Meaning that a large bore barrel will cause the ball to roll forward or move around thus losing some velocity. Your Ego ‘11’s are open bolt guns and the ball is held by the ball detents prevent that movement so being a little over bored will prevent things like barrel breaks and can help with consistency.

I'm considering grabbing a 68ci air tank but I'm 5'5" with slightly shorter arms. Any recommendations along with a regulator?

Any of the 68/4500 bottles are going to be solid performers. The Empire 68/4500 Air Tank comes with a good regulator on it and the bottle is available in a bunch of different colors. Great videos as always, John! Question for you regarding the dsr+ and rotor fit. I’ve read a few accounts of people not getting their spire III loaders not fitting the feed neck without adding tape to the bottom of the hopper. Have you heard anything similar and can you confirm which spire loaders fit the Dsr+? I can always go with a dye r2 rotor but I would prefer a spire if possible

I did experience having to tighten the DSR+ Feedneck down quite a bit with the rotors but that has been over a year since then. I will look into this and comment back for you!

The Etha 3 is a great marker that is a bit more spaced out than the Axe 2.0 or Mini GS. It is a solid performer that can really take a beating and keep working. They have even made their way onto the tournament fields like in the NXL the national tournament league. If you are looking to get an Etha 3 its a great choice.
