New M2 will be a pinnacle and conclusion of BMW's M non electric products. Glad electric times are coming since they have a chance to make it right this time without any hiccup's or BUTs. Based on new Z4 two seater (finally) sport car (not family saloon) chassis, s58 engine, the driver seats look like they are in a right place much closer to rear wheel, hopefully innovative bracing and chassis stiffness decisions - everything and more any M fan could have asked for.

I would say so, yes. It has the M driving modes, a retuned ESC system and I would argue that even the engine is better. The sound of the power unit is not that great but I've learned to live with it. BUT, go out and drive both of them and decide for yourself which one you like best.

The 240xdrive is going to be a Monster. I don’t see how the new RWD M2is going to complete even with more power . I own a 2017 M2 with a Jb4 tune and I can barely keep it straight under acceleration even at half throttle.

There's no 2022 m2 comp. I'm assuming you're referring to the F87. They are out of production. There's no word yet on the G87 comp though

Nothing will ever beat the first gen M2 F87 with the REAL N55 engine. But let's see what the new one will bring. :) If that's only technology, well, as a petrolhead, I'm not interested at all. In fact, more technology would even be something negative for the purists like me. Those who buy cars to really drive them don't want big screens, adaptative cruise control and so on. :)

@@emsbzrr8024 I've owned both a M2 LCi and an M2 Competition and I have to say that the S55 is absolutely fantastic. Sure it doesn't sound as good as the N55 but it is an amazing engine. I don't know why the N55 people hate it so much :)

I'm sure it's a lot of fun too but when I had to choose, I went for a standard M2 rather than a competition (because of the engine and also because of the look). After all it's just a matter of personal taste in the end. :) But I miss the good old engines on the current models.

This information is wrong ?? BMW have already confirmed the 240i is NOT gonna be rear wheel drive it’s a 4 wheel drive with high % to the rear... it’s still a 4 wheel drive car tho

This is my 'opening statement' as you've clearly missed it: 'The 2 series coupe is still going to be a proper BMW and it’s still going to be RWD' - there is no miss-information there. I'm talking about the 2 series coupe in general. Not once have I mentioned the M240i in the beginning of the video. You're just looking for something that isn't there.

Great infos I have already learnt from bimmerpost forum. Btw we still have to wait about 2 years to buy the new m2 as sop is set to 12/22. Just expect the new one being so visceral as the current one which I have been in touch for few months and definitely is their best car for now. I dunno how “smooth” are the current m cars but I saw some utubers still finding the m2c more raw than new m3/m4. Needless to say that their m performance cars such m340i and z4m40i have that same way which dissaponted me. Let’s see how they will treat the new 2 series coupe!

@@TunedIntoCars too heavy and big for my tastes. It didnt have the same ride as m2c. I was wanting a sport car. Obviously it was a great one when in sport+ but I didnt like the way it was tuned in this bc it got too accelerated anyway It was quite playful in manual. I am sure u compared both cars

@@audiophilemetallian no, not really. It never crossed my mind to compare a 3 series with an M-Car. They are completely different cars from the ground up. For me the M340i is probably the best all-around BMW at the moment. It looks great, it drives well and it's quite comfortable and practical for the family.

@@audiophilemetallian I tested the M340i at the M academy and UDEs. Its surprisingly agile in autocross. Very fast, but softer suspension. The M340i does well on the autocross. It is tossable, not like the F87, but you would be quite surprised how nimble and stable it is under pressure.

I doubt the 2 series will be 100k anything. I also doubt the M2 is going to be that since the M4 is already at that price point. I'm guessing the M2 is going to start somewhere at 70k if you ask me. Still a lot of money for a small coupe but if people are willing to pay that...

I think they are making these cars way too advanced we just want drivers cars

While I don't necessarily agree with the QF vs M2C comments, I do envy the prices in your country. Over here, in Sweden, the giulia QF is around 20k more expensive than an M2C
