It's an awesome car. Image is one of its problems though. Just compare the attitude toward a Jaguar vs BMW in real life traffic.

The M8 GRAND COUPÉ doesn’t come in the COMPETITION TRIM only. There’s the GRAND COUPÉ which’s M850i trim with also with a 4.4L TwinA-Turbo V8 but detuned engine with 523Hp and 530Nm torque Nice review though

850 is not an m8 lol, m8 only comes in competition trim

The x6 or this? That is the question! I still like the x6 more :)

Listening to a lecture and dealing asleep. Either way a very overpriced vehicle especially when compared to RS7 or M5

And that’s exactly why the 8 series (really rebadged 6 series) is going to get the axe once again. To be honest I think all 3 Germans are guilty of letting this whole “4-door coupe” thing spiral out of control. It’s a less spacious/practical version of their Sedans, not a coupe.

@@Divine_Serpent_Geh Mercedes started it with the CLS. And similarly BMW's X6 spawned a myriad of coupe SUVs ...

after 2 years it drops to around 80-90k which is actually a really good deal

The m8 gc comp is more unique/rare, and it hasn't lost to anything on the street yet

A rare car but I know someone with one I just didn't have the opportunity to ask how it went and whether he liked it. I gather he is a wealthy fellow and perhaps he doesn't care much. I hope he has the oil changed every 6,000 miles so when he comes to move it on it is good for the next person.

130k? Who buys this when there are so many capable and well equipped luxury sedans available for half the price? Plus it kinda looks like a 4 door mustang at that front angle. 👎

@@shoe3k There are many 60k luxury sedans I would be shopping. Tlx type s, g70, 3 series, s4. Anything above that level is diminishing returns IMO, but that’s just me -I’m not rolling in cash. I saw a sweet Lexus rc 350 f sport coupe today. Gorgeous. Not my thing though as I want a manual. I’m likely waiting for the integra type s!

@@roger3958😂😂😂 a tlx....man stop it....those aren't even able to compare to m8.
@roger3958 Жыл бұрын
I wasn't comparing a TLX Type S to an M8 per se. My main point was that 60k cars have all the luxury one needs. (I am not referring to sports cars, as I do believe a 60k sports car pales in comparison to a 120k sports car.) I'm strictly arguing luxury sedans. Heated/ventilated seats, alcantara bits, heating steering wheels, panoramic moonroofs, 400hp, etc. can all be found in the 60k price range. Disclaimer: I'm a sports car kinda guy, I was just trying to understand what draws a person to believe they need more this or more that when it comes to luxury. Thanks for all the helpful replies already. Cheers.

@@roger3958 M8 owner here. I have driven multiple cars in the price ranges you mentioned. I daily a CT5 V series which is nice. But, on the luxury side, the M8 has a more premium feel to it than cars in a lower tier range. Sit in a one and you will immediately notice the difference in build qulaity. Performance wise; they aren't even in the same realm.
