Versys 1000 is either overpriced or overweight ....as such a porker it is not worth the price....lower the price and one can accept some pork. Makes no sense to ask premium price when the quality spec is for a cheaper slot bike,...my 2 cents. The Tracer 9gt was cheaper AND CONSIDERABLY lighter. I think the bean counters and marketing elements really screw over a lot of models that otherwise might have neen home runs for a brand. The Versys MIGHT have been a better S1000XR or even a better MultiStrada but the bean counters evidently tried to keep costs down at the total expense of attaining equal specs to the BMW and Ducati ....and apparently the marketing dingdongs I suppose went along with the ploy? What? they thought buyers are too ignorant to notice,,,,,uhhhh no it is hard to not notice an extra 100llbs of flab for not much difference in price

The 1000SX is the only thing that itnterests me much so far but I could not find a new one anywhere locally (for hundreds of miles even) when I was buying in June so Yamaha won my business simply for HAVING Tracer 9gt bikes at dealerships ....besides being considerably lighter even...would have loved to test ride a 1000SX but you cant sample or buy what they refuse to build and ship.....you blew it again What good to design but not BUILD new models

i have ridden the 1000sx and i am precisely in your boat. The enigne on yamaha is unique but the 1000sx is build quality feels more premium. It's really an awesome bike!

Mustly budget pricepoint commuter stuff nothing that grabs me For example a 400 could really be exciting but not when they build to a $5k price poing with is gonna not leave much to love....damn poor people really screw up the model lines

My 2023 ZX6R has a quick shifter but it needs pressure to be usable, only works 9k rpm+ from what ive noticed
