If one of our friends asked us what SXS offers the most performance for the dollar spent in 2023? On paper we'd have to say its nearly unarguably the the Can-Am Maverick X3 DS Turbo. For the majority of us out there looking for the best machine we can afford we knew the 135 HP Maverick X3 DS Turbo was a SXS we must test for 2023.
We recently picked up our 2023 test unit from our outstanding local Can-Am dealer Octane Outlet of Eastgate, located in Batavia Ohio near Cincinnati. While we were there, they were kind enough to give us a walkaround of the new DS pointing out its updates, benefits and features.

Fun video …I’m rocking a 2022 DS Turbo “120” , Whalen dyno’d the 22 and was getting numbers higher than can am was claiming so I’ve often wondered if the 22s got the tuning for 135 Hp. It’ll run right with the 181hp RZR Pro til upper mid range . I installed a PDrive on mine and got rid of the 5100 RPM clutch rattle . She made it 2 years with no issues until my secondary rollers broke . Want an XRC RR.

How many miles will the Engine Last? 12.000 ? How often do you need to change the belt?

Life will very dependent on how frequently you change your oil and clean the air filter. If you don't maintain the car don't expect it to be reliable. Our 200Hp Turbo RR Has over 1,500 miles on the first belt. If you do not shift the transmission into low range during prolonged low speed driving don't expect adults to last as long. We find a lot of reliability issues to be caused by user error and laziness.

The DS turbo does not. The DS Turbo RR does.

Not on the 135 HP DS model. Only on the. 200 HP RR models.

Wonder why he didnt mention the Squeaking this machine has, worse of all SXS's. The cheap body panels and doors are absimal.Reaching into the vehicle to grab a winch strap to open the door is ridiculous for a car running you over 20k. Plastic firewall nice for object intrusion on your thighs. The oil changing in this machine is the worst I've had in all the various SXS's Ive owned. Lastly getting in and out ranks worse of all machines on the market. Storage is horrible. cup holders in the back of the center console and the back storage unless you fork out 400 for the link box is completely useless, And the thin cheap plastic cover in the back looks like an after thought. It takes up room and under it is the raditor fill. Poor design. Check these out before you buy. I have owned the Polaris turbo, Kawasaki KRX and now this. Worst machine of the bunch. Best SXS for the money hands down is the kawasaki. Good luck to the fan boys. Im selling my 2024 DS for 19k and I have hd 10 wet sounds im throwing in with it. Only 38 miles on it.

"And still" What exactly do you mean by this? Are you saying in spite of being One of The most affordable affordable full size sport side-by-side on the market. It should also be one of the most well specked? Same doors as their top of the line models so they didn't skip. Although they need updated. I'm sure most dealers would throw in a set of four point harnesses. Getting the feeling you're not a can am fan.

How did Can-Am pay you guys? Seriously you can't be the oblivious. Honda talon 20k 105hp, kawasaki krx 116hp 23k, rzr xp 20k 114hp, rzr pro 24k 181hp. Not hating on the Can-am DS turbo just the false statement you guys say this is some revolutionary breakthrough or good deal. People looking for info don't need more misleading information.

LMAO, $21,599 135 HP, 20" of suspension travel, more than any other 64" wide machine. The specs appear to be the best for the money and that's why we're excited about this machine. Can-Am didn't pay us anything. We have not been paid $1 for Can-Am for anything. We asked to test it, they made it happen. What exactly did we say that you found to be false? Thanks for trolling.
