I have a Mercedes. And when I took it to them for some work last year they gave me a 7 seat GLB as a loan car for the week. The GLB they gave me was R1.3 million as equipped. I also got the chance to drive the Tiggo 8 a while back. And honestly, the Chery has better interior material and build quality. The GLB has more plastic and feels cheaper and its interior isn't as solid. Parts of the interior of the GLB creak and rattle. At half the price, the Chery felt like a better car. German brands are completely overrated and they are ripping us off. Especially Mercedes with their poor build and material quality these days. There's absolutely no reason to spend double just for a badge. The Tiggo 8 is an excellent, world class product. And this comes from a once loyal die hard Merc fan who will not buy a new Merc. I would rather consider a car like this because the double price you pay for the Merc simply isn't worth it and makes no sense when the Chery is a better product at half the price.

I drove a BMW X1 in 2021 and the interior quality, fitment and features was equal, or in some case worse than cars 25% cheaper than it. 25% just for the logo for badge snobs. I saved that 25% which equaled 8 years of fuel and servicing.

I'm a Tiggo 8 owner. Moved from my usual German vehicle earlier this year. The Tiggo is an amazing product. The interior quality make me feel like a million bucks. I hope the new Tiggo 9 comes to SA. I will be on it in a heartbeat.

some 10 yrs ago I wanted to buy a Cherry, cant remember the model, but its that one which was the same size as the old Rav4. It had very bad reviews, soon after that, it disappeared from the roads. What a pleasant surprise when I saw beautiful Cherries back on the roads....Great review.

I'm interested in the fuel consumption figures. That 7. ... Fuel consumption is unobtanium on the current Tiggo 8 Pro. It's a smooth drive though. Chery service centres are responsive and always go out of the way to address issues, is recommend Chery any day.

😂😂😂The truck joke was top tier... first time seeing the channel and you earned yourself a subscriber. Anyway being honest though when i test drive the pre face lift model those pro max power outputs dont feel like they are that high. It feels more like its around 130 to 140 kw. Not a deal breaker but a German with those quoted output would feel more powerful and reassuring. Anyway great content 😀

MrHowMuch I love your videos. Full of insights and value adding observations. Coming to Chery. I own a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Elite. I just enjoy the way this car drives. In a sport mode, a slight push on accelerator and the car shoots forward. I am nearing 40k now and never had any hussles. For the price I paid I believe it is good value for my money. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a very tempting proposition. We will see when the AWD version comes on board. I may not be able to fight the temptation, it is beautiful car, especially in the angel green colour. WOW! WELL DONE CHERY!!

I own one, it brilliant. The service is done where I am by VW because they own the brand so. What this shows is that South Africa are being ripped off by established brands. This is way nicer and has more features that say GLB. The GLB is just under a bar and they have the same size 😊

Very good review. Thanks! Beautiful car but too expensive for me. I drive the Tiggo 4 Pro CVT Elite. Awesome vehicle. No issues so far. Drives like a dream and very quick especially in the sensitive Sport mode. I was a big sceptic of Chinese cars but will definitely buy more Chinese cars in the future

what a beautiful and well build Chery. I love it with that power on tap, i am sure fuel consumption will be 9-10L/100km when using all the power all the time but i am sure it should settle at 8L/100km. I would buy this SUV and not care about fuel consumption 😂

I honestly thought that the pre-facelift looked good but this looks even better. The interior also had a nice level up. As for the power output, those are the type of numbers I like to hear. The 4 tailpipes and the glowing front end logo were unnecessary but I admit that they look good😂. Question. Why was the ambient lighting flickering and changing colours? Or maybe that was the camera? Fantastic review. Enjoyed it from all the way back in Benoni😂. This was yet another fantastic subscribers special. Keep it up MrHowMuch🔥👑

It's not flickering.there is an option in ambient lighting where you can choose this colour changing mode.its changing colours.

Hey bro , we were playing music so we set the ambient lighting to change colour according to the beat of the song ( check my Instagram stories of the sound test and you’ll see what I mean ) but you can select one colour at a time as-well. The interior on this car is next level , it puts SUV’s twice it’s price to shame.

This is a very plush 7 seat SUV for the money. It has features you would normally find on a Audi. The only things its missing from that are pre crash prepared rear seats, adaptive suspension and air suspension. @MrHowMuch were you at a Suzuki 4x4 event recently?

Did you managed to get actual fuel consumption? Not the one claimed from factory. Just sold my Tiggo 8 Pro (not max) due to high fuel consumption (13 to 14l/100km) and imagine what, small fuel tank (51, but with 45 you already on reserve).

produces 187kw but the body is very heavy so i slow Golf 7 GTI can smoke that thing with 162kw and i also feel like quality of material used on the car is nothing compared tk VW it does feels chines haow even the active info display give haval vibes but i like the voice control to close windows turning on the aircon and others
