Hate to see it go, but GM brought this on themselves. A V-8 car you cannot get for less than $44,000? That's rediculous. The demographic that is the camaro base that buys these cannot afford that. AND then there is the onstar system. GM wants that to be in the car so bad, they ran the f%!king fuel pump through it. Many people have an issue with onstar, since it is essentiall spyware pre-installed. Can track you constantly, shut you down anytime. And don't give me, if you don't do anything illegal, you won't have a problem. There is already a problem - it's called being spied on as a law abiding citizen.

I say that because my 13 y/o son has a poster of a Tesla on his wall and he loves that electric Porsche now too! They can't build cars for us forever.... The next generation of people want electric everything, and if they make them better than what they are now I don't totally blame them. It is somewhat of a desecration to make an electric mustang, but give it a few years and kids will be buying them up and modding them like the gas powered ones of today. i grew up on the REAL muscle cars - 1964-1971. i now have four old Plymouth Barracuda's, 2 1968's and 2 1969's. these cars are small blocks and big block Mopar V-8's and all 4 speeds. i LOVE how these cars sound from the engine to the exhaust to the carburetors under full acceleration. racing these cars is a complete visceral experience. you HEAR the sounds; you SMELL the fuel; and you FEEL the acceleration torque. the cars touch all three human senses and the experience cannot be replicated by modern cars. when the "so-called" "muscle" cars become all electric, it will be the end of the visceral experience of a performance car. case in point, when i saw the first "new generation" Chevy "Blazer", i almost fell on the floor laughing. the "old" Chevy Blazer was a body on frame TRUCK that could take any off-road punishment you could dish out. i know because several of my high school friends had them (1970-72). the new Blazer? well, when i stop laughing thinking of this new "thing", it now strikes me as a vehicle that would be "challenged" driving through a deep water puddle en-route to your local Starbucks. i will NEVER own an electric or hybrid vehicle and i suspect Chrysler/Dodge will end up being the only remaining "muscle" car producer.

I hate the idea of electric muscle cars. In MY personal opinion, the lack of an engine ruins the chance for owners to personalize yheir vehicle (less chance to change parts and make kt your own). Ik many won't care, but, to me, the ability to modify a car to your liking is crucial for me. I don't see much beyond ECU tuning for electric cars, and that's a MAJOR turn off. This is my opinion, you don't have to agree and I respect that.

the only thing you can do is change the appearance of the car(spoilers,wheels,height etc)and the ecu stuff that you mentioned.also when the electric mustang and camaro drops(I hope not),expect the gas powered ones to rise in value.its going to take a while until everything is electric and aUtOnOmoUs.to me I still think people will still drive gas cars in 2040 but it could be heavily enforced with emissions control laws which sucks(example:you can only drive this much per year or you can't drive within city limits due to being a low emissions zone).what I do see about the mustang for sure is that it's going to be a hybrid at one point and thriving,while camaro is going to be either electric or discontinued.electric cars are slowly killing the car community and its happening sorta fast.there's no way that an Electric car can appeal to enthusiasts since we enjoy gas.😂😂

I was looking at crate motors and I think GM is discontinuing the LS7. It has been marked down quite a bit. I am thinking about getting one before they are gone and when my LS1 eventually dies (181k miles, running strong), the 427 can go in.

I think the Camaro looks more aggressive with part of the bumper in black. I do agree that the bowtie should be removed from the center of the bumper. And the rear does need a redesign, it's too simple, ordinary, boring, etc.

Electric Muscle cars?, hell no. I would prefer to see them discontinued than electric. Practically making them electric is killing its essence. Besides the characteristic v8 muscle car sound would be lost forever. It would be a stupid idea making muscle cars into electric.
