The different and personal way you go about reviewing a/this car has caught my eyes and ears. Really loved it! Too bad though this car is eventually going to vanish some day. I absolutely agree to the fact that it just doesn't matter if you've got some more trunk space or anything of the features other cars in this segment are credited for. What it all boils down to is whether or not this is a true sports car - and dude it is. That's exactly what sets this vehicle apart from its other classical competitiors - even in their sports trims they don't even come close. And other stupidly expensive European cars aren't that good of a competitor either - because they neither have a V8 nor a manual. The Chevrolet Camaro 2SS 1LE inn its current versison probably really is the most underrated sports car with the most reasonable price. Hope to own one of these sweet babies one day brand new.

I have a 2022 2SS 1LE in this same color, and it might very well be my favorite car I've owned, and I've had a number of fun, enthusiast cars: 2006 Evo IX MR, 2018 Subaru BRZ, 2019 Subaru STI, 2020 Mazda MX-5, and a 2019 Ford Focus ST. The Camaro is still the one I've found myself most looking forward to driving, and my one regret is that it's put away for the winter right now as it's just my weekend fun car and I only see it sitting in my garage waiting for the nice weather to get here. I, for one, am glad Chevy didn't compromise and decided to make it as much of a pure sports car as they could. While I'm sure it hurt their sales somewhat, those of us who can live with the compromises get a much better car for that. It's sad that more people didn't recognize just how good a car this was, but it kind of makes it a hidden gem for the enthusiasts who took the chance on a car that, unfortunately, seemed to get a lot of undeserved bad press.

So many people complain about the storage and no place to put stuff. They keep forgetting or don’t take into account that the 6th GEN Camaro was designed first as a race car/track car.
@GCCarsCA8 ай бұрын
Which ultimately was the Camaro's downfall. I personally could live with the compromises that come with the Camaro, as the driving experience makes it worth it for me - but GM forgot that many people buy Mustangs and Challengers because they make for great dailies. I'm sure a slightly-less "pure" Camaro that has more storage and better visibility would have sold better. Unfortunately, we will never know.
@al1518 ай бұрын
Naaah fifth gen camaro was a boat and Chevy did what they could to shrink the car and loose 200-250 lbs. Sports and track cars are not meant for space or comfort. People buy these for daily but its their problem.

I have a 2021 SS 1LE with just over 2500 miles. It is my second vehicle for when I just want to cruise on the weekends. It can be a daily driver, but not in the rain or cold. I plan on hanging on to mine for a long time. You cannot beat the 6 speed, and having a Vette engine makes me feel even better. Some of the SS 1LE's got the 6.2's that were slated for the C7 Vette. If you look under the plastic engine shroud, some have performance center tag with engine builders name. Mine was built at the Kentucky Plant, Bowling Green.. Take a look whoever has the 1LE....

If you catch a flat tire, and cannot patch it (common, due to never-ending construction where I live): enjoy possibly paying $3500 CDN dollars to replace all tires! (if they are too worn out, you must replace all). And BTW how do the front seat coolers work on those Recaros ?
@GCCarsCA Жыл бұрын

Nice review. Video and editing was professional, and I liked the invisible hood view of the engine compartment. I have one on order, but also like the upcoming Mustang. The cost and the iPad interior made lean away. I think the Dark Horse will be better, and like the fact that the Coyote revs to 7500 rpm. I had a C6 Corvette and loved the low end response, but didn't like the lack of rev happiness. I was thinking the Coyote might give me some V8 love and an eager rev range. I have reservations about the trunk and interior, but hope it is not too much of a detriment. Thanks again for the review.

I've never sat in one, but I hear that the poor visibility and bunker-like interior was a deal breaker for a lot of people. Like you said, not many people can afford to have a dedicated track toy. It needs to be a daily driver as well, and here the Mustang wins. Real sports cars are just too small a segment of the market these days to have success as second fiddle in terms of sales. Such a shame, because this is the performance bargain of the decade. And the LT1 engine is just so nailed down at this point, I am sure it will outlast the more complex and harder working Coyote engines.
