When I started school at FSU in 2014, I felt like I had won the lottery. I’ve loved watching football since I was a kid, so getting to join a new tribe was beyond exciting for me. Never in my life had I felt such an immeasurable sense of passion in a community. I spent four INCREDIBLE years there that I will cherish forever. Of all the great years I’ve had in my life since, this one was special. This is a once in a lifetime team, led by a once in a lifetime coach. From day 1, I knew this team would win them all and they’ve continued to prove me right every week. (You can see it in Mike’s eyes!) The man is 100% in. I’ve probably lost some hair a few times here and there… but it was worth it. I am devastated by the way that the CFP committee failed our team this past weekend. Mike, Jordan, and the rest of the gang deserved so much better. This decision does not invalidate our strength this season but proves that the CFP is not about the love of the game at all. Money, ratings, and favoritism has consumed this great sport. If that’s what it takes to make it into the so called “playoff” then I don’t want it. The “best teams” are subjective but wins don’t lie. We know who this team is and they can never take that away. I feel like I’ve been mourning a damn death this week, as my entire image of what this sport means has been tainted. Hopefully we can bring it back to the light with some more good old fashioned ass whooping in 2024. Wishing Travis a speedy recovery, all my love to the players and coaching staff, and fans who feel the same way as me. I was at the game on Saturday, first row behind FSU's bench. It was a the middle chapter of a storybook tale of grit, determination, and a whole team showing that when you tie both hand behind you back, they were going to find a way to be dominate in other ways. December 3, 2023 is the day College Football died for me and I'm sure many others. It's been overtaken by politics and media figure heads pushing agendas. Has always been (by far) my favorite sport since I started watching and playing sports as a little kid. I know this seems like an impulsive reaction in the moment, and yes I know I'll still watch and root for the team next season. But it'll NEVER be the same to me, it just won't, I'll never be nearly as interested or intrigued as I used to be. I'll never be quite as passionate and hyped for the games and seasons like I used to be. I'm DONE investing countless hours of my time following and studying the sport, watching all the games, etc. The CFB experience for me as a fan has been altered forever and nothing can change that. This is the biggest sports robbery I've ever witnessed in my life. What's the damn point of even playing all the games, WINNING EVERY game, WINNING your (Power 5) Conference, and still not even having a CHANCE to COMPETE for a National Championship? I had such a great Saturday night, that I actually didn't wake up until literally 11:55 on Sunday morning. Normally, when I get up I check updates for my fantasy football teams, but I had one interest and one interest ONLY and that was to watch the CFP Selection Show, pick FSU as the #3 team in the CFP. At 12:25 on Sunday morning my heart was broken for these players. I went from shock, to sadness, to outright ANGER! I forced myself to stay home yesterday, because had I went out and ran into an FSU Hater, I literally would have put hands on someone and been in jail as we speak! I know that's not politically correct, nor appropriate for the chat, but what that committee did to one of the most loved, if not the best loved team in FSU history, it felt like someone robbed my daughters of their essence! Nothing outside of the birth of either of my children, those children graduating high school or sadly, a death in the family has ever gotten me so emotional, than what happened yesterday, why? Because what that committee did to our '23 Seminoles was a gut punch and absolute! Meaning, we have no recourse! We can't appeal or anything like that, as that corrupt, bias, hateful committee, the SEC, that back-stabbing ACC Commissioner, and ESPN all set up what they eventually did yesterday, weeks ago, far before Jordan Travis' injury! Then, when I read Jordan Travis' tweet, I literally burst out in tears of mother-freaking ANGER! I've calmed down a bit, but did you all notice these idiots, here in Tallahassee, wearing their Texas and Alabama shit to Walmart, Home Depot and Publix today? It's by the grace of God that I didn't throw hands today! But, I'm home, relaxed, still sad and angry, but you wanna know what trumps that? My LOVE for our boys, who believed in this coach, coaching staff, ignored all the noise and did exactly what they were supposed to do! I will forever love the 2023 'Noles, this coaching staff and the best freaking fans in college football!

This is the best Noles team since 2013 for sure, and yet we were left out. Mike Norvell, Jordan Travis, and all of the players and coaches deserve so much better. This game had one of the most exciting second halves despite the point total, I was there. This defense played like they would in the playoffs, and the offense would clearly be better in the semifinals, with Rodemaker. It is such a shame that a perfect 13-0 season, ending as ACC Champions against a top-15 team with a true freshman third string quarterback as the starter didn’t land us in the playoffs. I feel your pain, however we gotta be honest and look at reality. FSU is a great team, but limping to the finish line. You put up 16 to Louisville. That’s not enough. Michigan would much rather play you all because it would be a freebie to the National Championship. They don’t fear or respect you. As for Alabama? Fear set in very quickly at the Michigan watch party once they found out they had to play Bama. Nobody wants to see Alabama in the semifinal because they are just that difficult to take down. Benson was not having his typical game so Toafili stepped up, Brock was doing his best with the offense and they needed help so the Defense stepped up, this FSU squad is by the very definition a TEAM, went undefeated as a TEAM and won the ACC as a TEAM, no other program overcame this year what this TEAM did and proved that they are one of the four best in college football. Greed and popularity won out for ESPN and the SEC, these young men are #1 in my heart and always will be. Go beat UGA and lets do it again!

Words can’t even express or describe the pain we’ve endured watching JT go down and now watching them tear down all that was built all for two “eye test” games and down or starting qb. We got here despite the odds being against us and the things that had happened yet we prepared and shown up for the occasion. This team didn’t change because of one player going down it had the same goals as day one and proved they belonged and they succeeded..so with or without Travis we would’ve been in the same spot regardless so why did one or maybe even two games change the judgement of a group of old men who are supposed to determine based on the facts and results of games not who their favorites are. It’s a sad day for all nole fans may we get our chance another year.
