I kind of feel like we all got into cozy hobbies in 2020 (out of necessity, mentally and physically), but then some of it kind of fell away and a big portion of people "went back to normal" and now in 2024 I'm seeing a lot of people going back to coziness! My motto this year is "I don't care" which translates to, I'm not going to let things out of my control bother me. I'm going to cozy-game, do puzzles, take walks, read books, crochet, and occasionally watch tiktok. Whatever makes me happy :)

Ever After with Drew Barrymore is a top tier movie, and while it's technically fairy tale retelling, it has all the best elements of romcom. Plus it really holds up well with some progressive themes. LOVE IT.

I love a good cozy hobby. I have always been a huge fan of Lego and I am truly running out of room. I have a large collection of the Modular Buildings, Harry Potter, various vehicles, and the Holiday/Winter themed sets. I love all the different building techniques unique to each set and learning about some of the hidden details too.

I got into LEGO this past year too! I'm rapidly running out of shelves, lol. I recently completed the Rivendell set. It's quite expensive, but it's also gorgeous and took me a really long time. Best set I've done so far.

Other cozy hobbies: 3-D puzzles, board games, scrapbooking, collaging. I color and collage myself. I like the more detailed coloring books (e.g. Native American, medieval, Celtic, famous historical women, Goddesses, mermaids, Aztec, insects, wildlife, mandalas). I use magazine pictures, calendars, greeting cards, other images in my collages. I also like to draw.

Do you / have you ever played Skyrim? Seems like the fantasy aspects would be right up your alley and it’s definitely the kind of game you can play for hours and hours and hours without even touching the main storyline. The newest version on switch (anniversary edition) has mods with even MORE additional side quests and additional crafting options. It’s almost an overwhelming amount of content but in a good way because you can just get totally lost in the world.
