During our final presentation, one of the judges was from a government company that will give seed fundings to startups, and he was excited about my game. Fast forward to almost 7 years now, I never really did pursuit the cardgame. But, within that 7 years of gap, I did get my friends to playtest my mockup and prototype. I think I just might get back on it. I'm also working on converting an existing fighting game into a tabletop style cardgame fighting. It will be shortlived but I am hoping to make it into trial for the real game devs of the existing fighting game to play it. Thanks for making this video, and wish me luck!

You know, three years ago I came up with an idea for a game called Deeper Dungeons. It was a co-op card game, where you open doors to discover rooms, and each room has a chance to contain nothing, an enemy, or a treasure (draw from the item deck) The goal of the game was to get OUT of the dungeons by finding the set of stairs that were placed somewhere it the deck. I made it completely by hand, and still think about remaking it and publishing today. Inspiration: GOT.

Can I just say how much I appreciate (as an almost compulsive, perfectionist designer myself) seeing how meticulously you arrange all the elements with correct spacing using the align option and they all have the same stroke width? Because with all the designers/game developers on KZbin/Kickstarter and such, it's all too rare to see this attention to detail, so I want to mention this quality - I really appreciate it! 👌 This time invested by you alone should be reason enough for a re-release for The Keeyp. Okay, designer-nerd-talk over. Great job! 😅 If you're ever interested in a German localisation - I'd be happy to support you, even if it might be a bit difficult (but not impossible) to translate all wordplays as such.

IDK if you have heard of it before but you should look into the game crafter, they will make table top games for you and all you need to do is load the files for the cards/ packaging. Might be a way for you to continuously sell your game without it costing you much, they do all the delivery and production, and will give you a (small) cut of the profits

There are a multitude of video games that I based off of a board game that I’ve been working on.

in our country (slovakia) or other countries in europe we have a very similar game called "karak" its not a popular game but its really good and the people who made it were also a couple of people who wanted to make a board game and made it happen this game looks great, good job!

Great video! I missed the stock on this unfortunately but I hope the people who were able to get a copy enjoy! I wanted to say I recently made a board game for my girlfriend and I to play as a birthday gift to her. It was super rough and homemade, definitely just a prototype, but I got a blank board game kit off of Amazon for about $23 with blank box, cards, a game board, a spinner, dice, and tokens. If you want to prototype a game or just make something fun for your friends and family, it's a super approachable price point and high-quality stuff.

I once made a simple multiplayer board game for my niece. Printed on two sheets of A4 photographic paper. I didn't know about vector graphic, so everything was horribly pixelated (I used Paint). The game was a blast. So satisfying for me, too :)

Thank you you inspired me to make a board game that’s still a work in progress called fight fight. It’s kind of like just rapid combat and hopefully whenever it comes out it will be amazing who knows if I get the main game and maybe some expansions fully created I might send some of them to you for you to enjoy.

Wow, I had a very similar idea and it looks like you beat me by two years. D&D campaigns take so much time and effort to start, so I started making a D&D card game. Cards for characters, weapons, encounters, enemies, NPCs, items, etc., each with their own stats and effects. Then board cards for the dungeon so that a campaign builds itself. Players agree on a story card, each selects a character, and they progress through the game by adding a board tile and action card in turn. The action card (shop, encounter, rest, etc.) dictates what the players have to react to, and the player's character & collected item cards dictate how they can react.

This seriously reminds me of a game called "betrayal at house on the hill" you explore a giant house getting items and loot, until the haunt is revealed. Once one player is revealed as the haunt, everyone has to work together(or in their own) to escape the house or kill the haunt. Their is tons of different haunts what can happen with a unique gameplay each time.
