2023 District & Campus Educator of the Year, Westlake HS - Jenna Scott

Jenna Scott has been teaching 17 years with 14 years at Westlake High School. Jenna currently teaches Honors Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry. Jenna is our UIL Academics Coordinator, UIL Science Coach, WHS Spirit Team coach, West Ridge Middle School Cheer Coach, WHS Stem Club Sponsor and is a member of Cheer Austin.
Jenna is an enthusiastic and tireless worker. Jenna is passionate, optimistic and always student-centered. “If you can’t get excited about chemistry and life around Ms. Scott, then you have a personal problem,” quoted one of her students. Jenna is known for her quick wit, humor, and elite intelligence. Jenna is also one of the most humble educators you will ever meet.
Jenna is gracious, kind, loving and simply genuine. Jenna lives life without limits while always challenging her students and athletes to be the best-always! Jenna is “built for this job” since she has a BS in Chemistry from Texas A&M with a Master’s in STEM Engineering in Education from the University of Texas.
