I owned a Scat Pack for 2.5 years, but I am now driving a GT. If you look at the true cost to own, the slim body Scat Pack is going to cost you $1,320 a month on average across the first 5 years. The GT $958. They come stock with the same tires and that makes the Scat Pack ridiculously overpowered. You can't put the power down without losing the rear end of the car. You will learn to feather the throttle, but what's the point? The main difference for anything other than someone who drives like a maniac is the 0-60 times. Scat Pack in 4.3, GT in 6.0. Also, any Charger with a HEMI, not counting the Hellcats, is 22 times more likely to be stolen than the average car (the Hellcat is 61 times more likely to be stolen). I don't know the theft rate on the GT, but it didn't make the top 20 list of stolen cars. The R/T is between the two cars and it might work for you if you must have a V8. As of this writing, Dodge was offering $3,000 in rebates on the GT, $2,000 on the R/T, and nothing on the Scat Packs.

Don't think I ever used a turn signal when driving in a parking lot.

It is always a good practice to use your turn signal whenever you are driving to let the other driver knows where you are going. People that don’t use turn signal caused a lot of accidents on the road. FYI.
