A very pleasant and useful video to watch. This is the year where I’m finally reaching my milestones about my makeup collection. I went quite wild between 2017 and 2019 and overspent quite a lot in makeup. My wake up call was in 2021 when I had to toss about 20 makeup products that went bad. That’s when I discovered the project pan community and I started to curate my collection little by little. I can now say I finally reached most of my desired numbers for the different categories except for the lipsticks (I still have quite a lot but I’m slowly working through them). So I’m thinking about switching my goals and aim for number of uses instead of completion in order to rotate my powder cheek products and eyeshadow palettes

We have very similar stories with falling for buying too much between 2017-2019. I love that you stuck with your goals and were able to get your collection where you feel comfortable with it!! I think usage goals are very effective! I’m going to do a usage project pan in 2024 to help me rotate through some of my products also! I would love for you to keep me updated on how you are doing!

I only came across your channel earlier this year. I enjoy your content and find it relevant. This is the first time seeing one of your end of year inventory videos. I find it fascinating how well you’ve curated your inventory and nothing is super old. Everything gets rotated out/used (specifically skincare), nothing gets old. I hope to get there one day, hence the no buy goal for 2024. I’ve enjoyed your videos since watching and find that we like similar products, probably bc we have the same skin type. I started filming again because I don’t have anyone to talk makeup with. 😂 I am so happy that we are both in the same corner of the internet and I have loved hearing about your updates and goals! I took a hard look at my spending/collection in 2020 and knew things had to change. I used to think it was cool to have 15 foundations, but really it was wasteful. So a huge mindset change and diligent tracking helped me get to where I am today. I have faith that you will find a way that works well for you in 2024 and if you ever need to bounce around ideas, let me know!

Concealer section is so perfect, that's what I want; heavy coverage spot Concealer, corrector concealer and Brightening concealer. I have 2 correctly, spot Concealer and brightening, but they're both light/medium coverage

Since I still struggle with hormonal acne, a stop concealer is a must! The Mac Paint Pot also worked well for this!! I want to try a different concealer once the ND one is done, but the other two are holy grails. ❤

Oh! I tried one of the retractable ones from Sephora and it was so dry and broke within a month of buying it. I still think that Urban Decay is my fav and then the non-matte liners from ColourPop. I know CP reformulated, but I don’t know if would trust the matte liners again.

YES! The Lash Princess smudges on me so bad!! The purple one does get dry very quickly, but it does wear all day without transferring to my brow bone.

I have an inventory spreadsheet as well. I love that you put product links in your inventory spreadsheet. I may have to spend some time and add that. I haven’t put links in my videos now for a couple years because it just takes so much time and I’m not doing KZbin for an income so I didn’t think much of it, but lately I have had some subs asking for links. Such an easy way to keep track❤ This is the second year I’ve watched your inventory and I will always look forward to it!

Aw, that you for coming back to see the inventory!!! And yes! Links used to take me so long, but now, each time I add a product to my spreadsheet, I go ahead and create a link at that time, so I can just grab them from the spreadsheet for my description box. I also keep my templates for my description box, so like for my project pan, all my items are loaded on there, I just move them around if they have been finished. I also have a doc with my YT links for videos/playlists so I can plug them into my description boxes as well. I totally get it with the amount of time that YT takes up. I work a full time job with 10 hour days, so I am thankful that I have 3 days off each week which does free up some time for filming and editing. But as you can tell, I’m replying to comments at 10:45pm and have to be up at 5am for work. 😅 So I’m still learning balance.

I really loved this inventory. I just am surprised about how many items you manage to use up and how aware you are off it. I am playing with the thought of doing a blog for next year to just hold myself accountable. I want to do a general year of less. Less makeup and skincare purchases, less books. I love your spreadsheets and I love that you put actual prices on it. I think I need to start doing that to actually visualise that this is money wasting away. Oh I think the sponges was the most surprising for me but I think that is because I apply my base with brushes and only use the sponge to soak up excess or get rid of brush strokes etc.

I wished I liked applying my makeup with brushes, but it always looks so textured on me. 😩 I think doing a blog to stay accountable is great!! I will just have a few words of caution (and I had to follow this myself) that while making a change, try not to add too much else on top. If doing the blog adds stress that will in turn cause you to buy, then the blog isn’t worth it. BUT if doing the blog helps with accountability and mindfulness without added stress, then go for it!! Either way, I’m excited about hearing about your progress and achievements for 2024!!

However I have been home with small children now for over 2 years. And I just feel like I need something that’s just for me and that does not include shopping. I have written rules down for me as to how and when I will make this work and hopefully I can stick with this. I am the exact opposite my skin looks horrific if I just use a sponge. Especially my forehead 😅

I sat down yesterday and put numbers on everything and wow almost 2000£ in makeup on my shelf. I feel like that gave me the final push. The past year I focused so much on the same products and neglecting so many. It really helped me to see numbers and see that I need to get more use out of all of my products.

I have a black from Holo Taco that I just got. The OPI Black is so thick that I wouldn’t be able to use it on my nails, but I’m totally cool keeping it in my inventory. ☺️

There is just one thing I didn't quite figure out... what are the colors for in your Inventory sheets?

Hey! I’m not sure if I ever explained the colors, but thanks for asking! I will have a color for the next product I want to use (I think used the light blue for that last year) and different colors for different projects. Once I move the product to the finished section, if it’s the pink color then it is a declutter and not an empty. Hope that helps!! ❤
