I learned some good things from this video, especially re: shower and the toilet (but if those are proprietary waste bags, we'd prefer our current composting arrangement. Would like to know the toilet manufacturer?). If you ever come up with a king bed or two twins convertible to a king, or even two decent-sized twins, we could use that! There may be an under-recognized market for vans built for older campers/former backpackers who need a little more comfort and room for sleeping.

Great build! Clean, simple and lightweight! 5 years later this van is still going to look great! So many other brand vans use wood and other materials that aren't suitable or durable enough for RV's, especially RV's that go off-road. It is clear that Brendan has done his homework on materials and systems that work.

What is per video! Just watching this video has turned me around as to what I’m going to set up for off routing and Overlanding. I was originally thinking of a jeep wrangler with a pull behind trailer but now I’m thinking otherwise. This may not claim boulders, but it will take me to 90 to 95% of places that I want to go. Crushed it once again Brendon. Nice looking build. 7,440 lbs for the weight is awesome for all the features. I don't think weight gets near enough attention and this another area where your builds really shine. I already have the VC stage 4 kit on my AWD Transit and think the Transit Off Road kit would be a good addition for the front suspension as a way to get the Bilsteins without all the issues. Hopefully it would level things out as well. Was there much trimming involved with the 265/75 tires? I'd love to size up to them as well. Also, It looks as though you used the stock lug nuts with the Methods?

Thank you! This van will spend most of its time on the coast. An AC wouldn't get used very often. The MaxxFan does an amazing job of keeping the van cool in this area.

I would get rid of that shower insert thing and add a couple of deep drawers to store some dishes and maybe a toaster oven and a plug-in induction cooktop. Think I’d add a shelf on the upper part of the other side of the bed as well. That area doesn’t seem to be used for anything…always gotta get storage where you can add it.

Ford make heated seats! Need additional seating or seat belts in the lounge and extra sleeping.Its a Yang van for sure. Best out of the way shower. Best water system. Ecoflow is simple solution. Need the microwave air fryer combo. Where is the heated vented and do you have sound absorbing and rock wool insulation...

There are two fans! We have a MaxxFan in the rear of the van and a Sirocco fan attached to the back side of the upper cabinet. Both are great.

Yes, the bigger tires do throw off your speedo. There are some websites that you can put in your old and new tire sizes to see the speed difference. It's a good idea to know so you're not caught speeding without even knowing it.

The van was white when we started. It has a full wrap on it now. The hinges don't get wrapped (for some reason)

They are really both great. The FVCO carrier requires a hole or two to be drilled in the van. The Aluminess is a no drill install. I suppose someone can choose based on their comfort level. You can't go wrong with either as far as we are concerned.

This build can absolutely work in a medium roof van. Upper cabinets are the only real challenge for a med roof. Currently working on specific cabs for the med roof.

Certain 2023-2024 Ford Transit and Transit Trail vans (in the US approximately 76,015 vehicles) have been recalled due to the factory failing to fill the rear differential with the proper amount of fluid, causing premature bearing failure. This could result in rear wheel lockup or driveshaft separation that could cause loss of vehicle control or loss of power, which could result in a crash.

Where is your water heater hidden?

It’s where the spare tire used to be. We have a custom mounting plate that also serves as a protective skid plate for the heater. Tucked up and out of the way.

How are you getting instant hot water? Are you using propane or is it electric?

The water is heated from a coolant loop from the radiator. That's the primary heating source for the water. The tank also has a 12v heating element that draws about 300 watts. Heats it up nicely too.

I have a small singe burner camp stove that we use. it gets stored under the sink. Cooking outside is our preference, but there is plenty of space on the galley to cook there too. An induction cook top is also a great option.
