By a minute in I was breathing pretty hard. The boat is heavy AF and all the correction strokes are really tiring. This year I realized you'll be tired going into gorilla no matter what, but you just need the discipline to keep it together when you're tired.

202. I think next year I'll race with a shorter paddle on the Green. With all the rocks and narrow slots, and lack of flatwater, I don't think the long paddle is beneficial.
