I just installed in my 2025 Honda Pilot Elite and it works. I see from your video at around 1:43 where you cut away it looks like you broke off the bottom left side tab. I see the broken open hole in the base at 1:57. The same thing happened to me. That bottom left tab is a pain. The good thing is it is not needed for a tight fit. Thanks for posting the video.

You are correct. What a pain!

I purchased it about a week ago and it has worked without a hitch on my 23 pilot. It took all of 5 minutes from start to finish to install. Much easier install than idle stopper and much cheaper too. Thanks for the video.

Saw this too late, I already purchased and installed the idlestopper model for this car, it works well too, though more expensive and much more complicated to install. This one is so much simpler. Nice!

I was going to live with it if I had to buy the idle stopper, but then I found this one for cheaper so I bought it.

I purchased a 2025 Honda Pilot and installed this Start/Stop eliminator and used it for about 5 weeks. In those 5 weeks I noticed a problem that did not occur before the Eliminator was installed or after it was removed. The issue was sometimes after driving awhile and then when parking such as "parallel parking" where you shift multiple times between "Drive" and "Reverse" the transmission would not stay in the selected "Drive" or "Reverse" mode but would revert to "Park". Once it started doing this it was necessary to turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 seconds and then restart the car which would enable shifting between "Drive" and "Reverse". I removed the Eliminator and have not had this issue again.

I’ve had it for a while and drive daily. No issues here.

@@Jared.DoesEditsis it because he has a 2025 model and not a 2024 like you have in the video? I just bought one of these devices myself that I haven’t installed yet because it won’t be delivered until Saturday but I have a 2025 also like this dude has so now I’m kinda curious even though to my knowledge, nothing really has been changed between the 2024 and 2025 models. We very rarely go anywhere that requires parallel parking but now I’m kinda wondering if I want to install this because it says in the description that it’s only for the 2023-2024 models. I get it, the 2025 is brand new so of course it won’t say it’s for the new cars but still…..

Hey Jared, I appreciate the videos for the new Pilot. Any issues with your car overall? Would you ever consider a VCM muzzler if they ever come out with one?
@billplaisance63873 ай бұрын
So do you know how this thing works? I read somewhere where somebody said that it works by reversing the polarity of the circuit making the car “think” the feature is on when it’s really off but just despite what that other guy said who commented on your video- the one who has the 2025 Pilot who said that his transmission was putting itself in park when trying to parallel park but since I have a 2025 Touring edition as of this past Saturday, I’m kinda curious how mine is going to work because according to the manual, the auto idle-stop is only activated by default when the drive mode is in Economy mode and I’m assuming Normal mode because it explicitly said that when in Tow mode, Snow mode and Sport mode, the auto idle-stop feature is deactivated. So does your 2024 work like that too and if it does, what happens when you use any other driving modes like Economy and Normal? We’re still very new to this car so even though it’s currently in Sport mode, if I was to go out there and take off in the car, I’m not sure of it would still be in Sport mode or if it defaults to Normal or Eco mode after you shut off the car.

Can you tell me if this will work on a 2025 pilot exl?

I'm sure it does. Probably works for all 4th gen Pilot.

the idle stop start helps alot in stuck traffic/ accidents. how much did u pay?

@@MetalsForBrunch how does it help in those situations?? I don’t understand that all this useless feature does it help wear out your starter motor earlier.
@MetalsForBrunch3 ай бұрын
@@billplaisance6387 it's useless for daily driving but for any standing still accidents that last up to 3 hrs its useful. it will only wear out the starter if you use the idle stop on the daily basis for very short idle red stop lights for example.

This cheap Amazon module fried my idle stop switch. Had to pay $350 for diagnostics and switch replacement at the dealer….. lesson learned I guess. Don’t buy cheap crap 😢

So this same module fried your auto idle-stop switch? What year is your car? Says it only works with a 2023 and 2024 model.
@mattymo823 ай бұрын
23 Pilot Touring is my vehicle. Had this same module installed for a couple of weeks and it seemed to be working ok. Then one day the idle stop started working again (shutting off at stoplights). I went to press the off button and it didn’t work. Took it to the dealer and they had me pay diagnostic fees and found a fried switch. Dealer also warned me about installing another one and told me about voiding my warranty
@billplaisance63873 ай бұрын
@@mattymo82 hmm. I wonder if you just got a bad module from Amazon maybe? So when you took your car to the dealer to get it checked out, was that Amazon module still plugged in? Did you/do you have warranty at the time? I dunno, if you had that Amazon module installed when you went back to the dealer and if the service tech said that module was the reason for frying your switch, I’d be getting on Amazon and be getting ahold of the seller for reimbursement if you had to pay the shop to fix your car. But I’m curious about something- on your ‘23, do you have all those drive modes like my 25 does? I have the Touring and after looking in the manual, it said as long as you’re using the Eco mode or I’m assuming the Normal mode, the default setting for the auto idle stop is on. It explicitly said that for Sport, Snow and Tow modes, the auto idle stop is off by default.

@@billplaisance6387 My Pilot does have all of the same drive modes I believe. The module was still installed when going to the dealer. In hindsight that wasn’t a great idea, maybe instead they would have just replaced the switch for free but who knows. I contacted the Amazon seller with no response from them. The return period was closed as well so I couldn’t even get my money back at all for the faulty product. I filed a case with Amazon directly about the seller and they credited my account for the product cost but that’s all they would offer. At least that’s something to go towards the costly mistake I made of buying this cheap crappy product
