I think a full-size couch (futon) would be a better use of the rear slide-out space, instead of 2 recliners... Something to add an extra bed, that way a family of 3 can use it (or 2 dudes) while hunting or exploring the wilderness. Add a propane Onan on that sliding tray, and it would be a serious off-grid truck camper !
@philborchelt53962 жыл бұрын
With solar, you don't need a gen!! I boondock for months at a time in Montana with solar panels and propane only. You can option a sofa to replace the recliners.

Yeah and make the bed a little shorter so when the table is in front you can put a chair across and eat across from each other.

Great overview, thx! This is exactly the way I would configure a Yukon with the lithium and such. Prefer to go without propane altogether but no biggie. Really like the theater seating too. Nicely done! 👍

I love the Yukon floorplan. Funny how you never see one with the standard rear dinette. That's my favorite feature along with the full closet & bedroom closet options. *RV Guy,* have you ever seen a Yukon with the rear-dinette? It's the best way to enjoy that rear view!

for an in bed truck camper this thing is baaad 👍 it always blows my mind just how much room pop outs add to these rv’s from the outside it looks like they just pop out a tiny amount but every time you see the inside it’s waaay more room than you think they’d make which i know is the point but every time i see a pop out it still shocks me lol

If they can put all this and multiple slides on a truck camper , why aren’t they doing it with little tow behinds? Imagine a 16 foot bushwhacker or geo-pro with three slides. Bingo. I’d buy that.

@@tlouiseallen9302 the shell of the truck camper is made of fiberglass hence why it can support itself off the truck, however when mounted the GVWR of the vehicle comes into play. I’m not arguing some stick and tin trailers can have these amenities and slides but generally speaking a truck camper like this would be hauled by a dually long bed truck w a gvwr of nearly 4K or more.
@twayland61862 жыл бұрын
You can technically buy this and put it on a small trailer. Use some custom tool boxes to full the empty spaces on the sides
@nednobody3253 Жыл бұрын
I liked the one with the dinette on the slide out across from the kitchen better then the big hanging storage space. This one has no seating for guests just a waste of the living area. The Yukon has plenty of storage all over the place. The rear slide can be set up many different ways but having just that one little table and two recliners is to limiting. At least with the dinette you can have another bed if you need it. For what you are paying for the Yukon at least compare the different Floorplans this one just leaves alot to be desired.

I decided to Google it and I just figured I'd let you know even though it's been 8 months that I saw one that had a table and small couch area to the left of the recliners instead of a storage area and also the front had a bigger bed instead of another cabinet on the driver side of the bed and that one was 109,000. Not sure where it was being sold but it was a 2024. I don't care where it is in the United States the price can't be off by much whether you buy it in Nevada or Florida or anywhere else. That's insanity to buy something like that when you could get a truck and a 36 ft camper for the same price brand new. Might be a little less luxurious brand but you'll get all the same amenities. This is literally for people who are well off for specific purpose RVing.

How much does it weigh empty and fully loaded and how much extra weight can you put in it after it’s fully loaded? More importantly what kind of truck do you need to haul it? Do you need Dooley wheels in the back. Will a Toyota tundra work? Do you need a Ford F-350 or a Ford F450?

@@jalenwarner7632 , On second thought I think an F450 rear dooly is required. Probably because of the extra slides. It sure is luxurious isn’t it?
@skoffco Жыл бұрын
@@MissMarinaCapri all depends on how the truck is equipped. My F450 Limited only has a payload capacity of 4700 pounds this rig loaded for camping would easily gross out the 14,000 pound weight limit. Please keep in mind that you were going to be very close to maxing out your axle weights on both trucks. That’s F350 and F450 together has the same issue. the plus I see for the F450 is bigger brakes,bigger half shaft in the axles and wide track front end along with H rated commercial tires if you want to be safe with this set up, look at a chassis cab, F450 or chassis cab F550. add a flatbed to it to set this camper on.
