You could very well be right, but just the other day Chad made an interesting argument. He said the Hummer EV Pickup kind of makes sense if you think of it as an American G-Class -- gaudy, expensive, and extremely capable. Such a cool EV in the most excessive way possible. Still hard to fathom the sheer weight of it though, and something I’d never personally want to own. It would be interesting if somebody bought this and then stripped it down to minimize weight and different tires to maximize roll resistance. Basically put it on a diet by removing the back seats the fender flares the tailgate, replace the overhead glass with four panels of polycarbonate, and remove the spare tire from back of the bed. Anything that can be removed without taking away from the rigidity or safty, then putting the vehicle to the tests of milage and a speed.
