Love this car!! Driving it so far for the past few weeks has been nothing but pure joy! Coming from a 100% electric vehicle with not much range has been nothing fresh air. I love the fact of the combined mpg! I mean in the city and highway is much more than what I was getting from my previous car. Love this car!!!

Just bought one in Liquid Metal … i LOVE this car!! It’s gorgeous on the road. • Handles great. • More power than i expected. • Lots of safety features!! • Lane Assist & Steering Assist are great for my commute to work. • Rear camera is very predictable • Seat heaters are the best i’ve ever used • Cruise Control feels weird but works as intended • Key FOB has excellent range • Controls are well laid out and easy to use NOTE: Stereo is way nicer than I expected ( not sure why no one is talking about this but it’s much better sound than I expected for a cheap commuter car )

Excellent review. I just bought mine a couple days ago. A couple things I don't remember you mentioning. The speedometer is weird. It goes in increments of 10 until it hits 40, and then goes in increments of 20. It's got a button you can push for standby mode. Where you can take your foot off of the gas pedal without it moving forward until you hit the gas again. Also, you can set it to beep when you shift it into reverse. I agree that you won't be passing anyone on the highway that doesn't want to be passed. I will have to learn to be patient. This is replacing my 2012 Elantra Limited that had a sunroof, leather interior, signals on the mirrors and low profile tires. Other than that the Blue trim Hybrid has many more features, including the back up camera that I'd been missing. I paid $450.00 extra to get it in white, because it was the only one currently available in roughly a 150 mile radius.

I currently have this car. It’s been a month and I get looks all the time when I’m slowing down entering a parking lot or someone house. I hear it all the time, “Your car sounds like heaven and angels are singing.” 🤣🤣

I got the Blue trim on Thursday, I'm not impressed with the mileage though. My average is about 32-42mpg and I'm not an aggressive driver by any means. I've had it on the ECO drive mode the whole time and at half a tank I got 284 miles out of it which is WAY lower than I expected. I calculated the drive distance total at 686.4 (13.2 gallon tank x 52 MPG average) so there's a 60 mile discrepancy there and I don't know what the cause may be. Maybe because it's winter?

Note how this review also avoided the dealership markup sticker. Dealer mandate, I'm sure. Well, a deceptive dealer isn't getting my money.

i just bought the 2024 refresh of this car. my experience so far is the EPA estimated MPG averages are completely wrong. On the 2024 its 51 city / 58 highway. Real world driving I see the opposite. Im between 50-54mpg on the highway, but I'm doing better than 60mpg on most of my city driving. I do live at 4500ft elevation though so fuel economy at sea level might be better , but im very impressed with its actual performance in city driving being so much better than advertised.

I'm waiting on a 23 blue of my own to be delivered to a dealer so I can pick it up, and I gotta say: as a soon-to-be college student concerned about expenses, this thing's gonna save me some money on gas, and keep things cheap. Can't wait to get ahold of it!

I am very impressed with the fuel milage and the price. A affordable hybrid for the masses. But the rest of the car, not so much. I guess they had to keep the cost down somehow. Looking forward to the limited review. Thanks for all you do, keeping us up to speed on what's available how it works and what it will cost.

@tphillips37 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! I've been trying to find out if it had a trunk or a hatch and it seems like nobody thought that was important. It is! If you're someone who might pick up something oversized at the flea market, a trunk won't work, even with the seats down. With a trunk you have to go in and then under the back glass and if it's too long - not happening. A hatchback with the seats down you can just put it right in. Thanks again!

Dual clutch auto is really cool for a hybrid.. I've hated every CVT hybrid I've driven. Since Hyundai did that I'm actually considering this car now :)

Going back and forth between this or going full electric with the bolt EUV since they’re both about the same price. This car does look pretty slick.
@WTFCRLT12 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough choice! Kinda depends on if you want to charge or not but let me know what you decide on!👍🏼

if the Bolt EUV is around the same money I can almost guarantee you it’s gonna be built like a tin can and probably ride like one

@2muchtalk1732 жыл бұрын
Skip the Bolt ! The warranty alone on the Hyundai makes it better much less the added cost and inconvenience of charging.

How strange, this hybrid seems to be the only one that gets MORE mpg on highway than in cities, usually it's the reverse right? Can anyone tell me why is that?
@WTFCRLT12 жыл бұрын
In the city, you’ll be in pure electric mode for a majority of the time which burns zero fuel, while on the Hwy the engine is permanently on with an electric assist.
@mach1_v12 жыл бұрын
To add to this response, the Hyundai and Kia hybrids do a great job of always mixing in the electric assist at all speeds. Giving them really really good efficiency throughout. Whereas most other hybrids prioritize electric mode at lower speeds and using the engine only at higher speeds.

It's nice package for a poverty spec hybrid. Hyundai was smart to add wireless Carplay/Android Auto as standard equipment. No auto manufacturer brand is doing this..Would be nice to have that feature across the board on the larger screen. But I understand Hyundai is working on doing that. Just some software negotiations, which something with their embedded GPS system. Overall, I'm digging the new Elantra hybrid. This would not be my trim of preference. Limited Hybrid is my pick of poison!
@WTFCRLT12 жыл бұрын
Hopefully the bigger screen goes wireless asap but wish you luck let me know if you end up going with the Limited Hybrid! 👍🏼

I know exactly what you’re asking… I have just under 900 miles on mine and I haven’t been out of the low to mid 40s yet. Supposedly it’s going to require at least a couple thousand miles of break-in before I get into the 50s. In full transparency‘s it’s January in Michigan as I post this! Your best fuel economy comes in warmer weather.
