I just wanted to add, as someone who has technical experience with the lane departure warning system, the system will not turn on unless you are going at least 35 miles per hour. If you noticed in the video it usually turns on around 40 mph, but always shuts off when you go below 35 mph. Just wanted to point this out so you realize the system is more capable than you think and is another awesome tech feature on this vehicle!

My wife and I just got one each. Great car. I was a honda guy, and we were both looking to downsize back to cars from suvs. I went with her on test drive and was impressed. So much so, that I got one too this past weekend! Love this car so far. I got the same trim SEL with convenience package which seems to be the most logical and best bang for your buck without going overboard. Only gripe is that I wish driver seat at least was power seats. However, honda took that feature out of the ex model for this year's as well. Seems to be a trend with car manufacturers

Fun fact: If you have a car in front of you with the LFA turned on, your Elantra will actually follow the car - NO lanes needed! As long as the car ahead of you doesn't get too far or make any sudden turns, the car will continue following them.

I use these features often when I'm going home late from work and am dead tired. The way home is through a usually empty, well marked mountain highway so they're so so helpful. I found myself wanting to drift off, and the steering assist jerked my hands and righted the car and that really got my blood going. I mean it's a last resort to use in that instance of being tired and hopefully not one I have to use often, but it really helps for peace of mind

Got a 23 Elantra Limited and love it. everything u showed works well, however u failed to mention after a minute or so, it tells u to put ur hands on steering wheel. Auto drive completely if u keep a hand on wheel.

Never trust that type of stuff, always be an alert defensive driver and get off the PHONE. This type of stuff is ideally used for the what if moments and shitty situations. Not to be "cool" and dont have to care about others on the road. Great features in the right hands.

Same here. I just got mine about 2 weeks ago. Definitely satisfied. My dad driving it a couple times even got him to go with the Sonata. They did a great job on the cars this year. Maybe I was missing out on their cars before but their new ones look GOOD and drive nicely

@@ayokunlesunmola60 easiest way to tell is going directly to the hyundai usa site and configure the car, it gives you the mrsp price. then compare it to the delaers and see if there is a difference to know if they are upcharging you if they haven't already put it on the price. for the 2023 sel with convenience package plus freight charge is almost 25000$ on their website. if you factor in tax and whatever small fees they have it would be 28k. is yours 28k tax included or is it before tax? because of its before tax you are getting ripped off.

I do: what happens when you leave your hands off wheel for longer than X seconds. What does car do. Can it pull onto shoulder and stop with hazards on if say a driver falls asleep, etc.

I also want to add this system (called Highway Driving Assist aka HDA) is specialized for highways. AKA state highways , tollways, or intersates with minimal interruptance to speed flow and clear lanes to follow. If you aren't on a 3-4+ lane highway, I'd recommend just keeping it off and having normal Lane Keep Assist (LKA) on.

Hey I have a sonata limited that’s equipped with this feature and after watching many videos I’m still confused on how to use it .. when I was on the freeway I pushed the steering wheel icon and the car started to steer itself but I was still pushing on the gas and when I took my foot off my car started to slow down.. i was confused because I thought my car would maintain the speed on its own and drive itself completely as long as I kept putting my hands on the steering wheel periodically .. I may be confused on the concept and need a better understanding, can someone help me please !!?

Bought an Elantra 2023 full option in Oman. Unfortunately, they have removed many useful features for Oman 😢 Even the headlight bulbs are very bad which we are getting in fog lamps of H-i20 in India.

The features are cool but I would suggest extending the basic warranty to a full 10 years to cover the techy stuff. Only if you plan to keep it that long.

@@gabrielsmith8767 it’ll take the curves. It’s a pretty strong system but you need to keep an eye out to get a feel for what it will and will not take. It’s very convenient!

Love your Elantra wish i waited for 2023 have a 22 Blue Elantra SEL prem and it doesn’t have the 10inch screen and a couple of other features. But mine does have a sunroof, Bose sound system and wireless CarPlay which you couldn’t get with the 10 inch screen in the Limited.

Convenience Package +$1,900 10.25-inch touchscreen navigation, Dynamic Voice Recognition, 17-inch machine finish alloy wheels w/225/45R17 tires, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Pedestrian, Cyclists, and Junction Turning Detection, 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, Smart Cruise Control w/ Stop & Go, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, Wireless charging pad, Heated Front Seats, Heated Outside Mirrors In addition to gaining the features included in the SEL Convenience Package, the Limited grade builds on the SEL trim by adding 17-inch alloy wheels. Also added are rear-parking assist with automatic braking, LED headlights, and heated outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals. I have the same package on 2019 Elantra GT N-Line Ultimate and it's great, use the adaptive cruise control every day. This model also has a panoramic sunroof. You will no longer have these on the non-SUV models, shame.

I hate lane keep assist and lane centering on my Subaru. Have them both turned off. Its a very disconcerting feeling with the constant tugging at the wheel and alerts when the lines in the road break or it thinks you're not hanging onto the steering wheel enough. The adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and auto front braking are great, but I think if you need help staying in your lane maybe you shouldn't be driving that day.

I like the lane centering on the highway but the lane keep assist was the first feature I turned off. Noting worse than trying to ovoid a pothole or a car crowding you lane and the car trying to fight against you!

Are you aware that if you just push down on the cruise toggle, it will resume your cruise at the last speed? You tapped it up when you wanted to resume the speed and had to tap it up a number of times to get back to 40mph. If you had pushed the toggle down, it would have simply resumed the spped of 43 mph you last had.

Forget about self-driving. It's too dangerous. I tried this on the highway last week and the system temporarily shut off on a curve. I had to take control real quickly before I swerved too far out of the lane. It's very uncomfortable, too, as the constant corrections the system does to keep straight feel unnerving.

I have the preferred - no radar on the front, and I think they said a no second camera. Is the speed sign from it spotting an actual sign? I have to use Waze (Android Maps/Auto .. their speed feature knows very few speeds here and it does not have my speed).

If you go into your cluster settings on the center screen you can turn it on. Its not on by default for some reason.

Yes it does curves pretty well most of the time for me. Sometimes if the curve is too tight like an off ramp at a clover leaf it’ll shut itself off and make me take over

I have same vehicle & was going 85mph on highway & it was driving the curves like a champ. Yes, the car drove by itself around curves. Scared the poop outta me at first but… I’m thinking it’s time to let my car do a majority of the driving from now on. 😉

Great car and I am happy it has all features and drives by itself but sadly my dad does not have all that how does he have all the features like stop and go smart cruise control and highway driving assist and will it require money for that and does he have to request for it or its a option in the Hyundai I hope I can have all the features to drive by itself without us driving much but i hope i get it its hard to get all the features so I don't have to drive much and idk how he can get all features i think he has to buy it its not a option unless he has the highway driving assist and I love the car that can drive itself without me much its called the Hyundai Elantra!
