Bravo Hyundai, bravo Drive - what a wonderful review of what appears to be a great car. Hyundai, please take note, not all of us want to turn on annoying buzzers and beeps, please deliver an over the air fix to allow drivers to opt in rather than opting out before every drive.

Rgd. the digital mirrors: I think I remember from my test-drive that the mirror monitors are touch screens and you can move the cameras with it, so instead of moving your head you can move the camera, BUT I am with this, I don't like them, I ordered mine without.

I bet If you smash one of those side view video cameras off it'll be way more expensive to replace the camera than a simple mirror.

Medium sized? I think this thing is longer than a Prado with a flat tailgate (i.e with spare wheel mounted under the car).
@Drivecomau Жыл бұрын
Nose-to-tail a Prado with a flat tailgate measures 4825mm compared to the Ioniq 6 at 4855mm, so the Hyundai is slightly longer however the dimension groupings between SUVs and passenger cars in Australia are slightly different (which allows things like a Subaru Outback to be classed as a Large SUV when it was based on the Medium-sized Liberty). The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, which monitors vehicle sales (and segment classifications) in Australia classes the Ioniq 6 as a Medium Car, over $60,000 putting it in the same class as cars like the BMW 3 Series (4713mm) and Mercedes-Benz C-Class (4755mm) so there's some wiggle room in each segment.

The beeps and blops are seriously annoying. They need to push out an OTA to save the setting if turned off previously.

I'm waiting for low slung BYD Seal. The sporty dynamics of that car is called a benchmark by Wheelsboy channel

Will it have local engineering for sorting its ride for Australian roads, as this new Ioniq6 has?

no bro,cn car is suck

Just try insuring it when/if it gets here. It will cost a fortune. The Seal integrates the batteries into the chassis to reduce weight. Any accident is likely to mean the whole car needs replacing for fear of damage to the batteries or their cooling structure.

So where the front trunk, where is the power or the range? The model with most range is a hack since its got a much slower motors and a big battery.
@svengaefgen5909 Жыл бұрын
The frunk is under the hood, where would you expect it? That the highest Range will be achieved by a big battery and one motor is not a hack, but physics.

More like a Ford Taurus from the early '90's with every AliExpress add-on..

So many, like you, are digging small design queues from much older car designs, single elements. You've got to treat any car design, any new car design, has to be judged in a cohesive way. Its a modern interpretation of a "streamliner", which is vastly different than the old car you mention, and many other older cars from the past. The Ford Taurus was no streamliner, a Porsche 911 Turbo was no streamliner as well, it was short and stubby, no real comparison.
@oggyoggy1299 Жыл бұрын
@@Mexxx65 You’re living in a fantasy would. We can judge it however we like and it’s completely expected to consider what it looks like compared to cars we know. You seem to think it looks like a streamlined, whatever that is.

All the reviewers gush about the long wheelbases that the EV's provide and call in wonderous. I call BS. The long wheelbase is forced upon the EV's due to having to fit the battery packs between the axles. If it was that good a thing, ICE vehicles would have used longer wheelbases relative to the car length ages ago. Fact is, it makes it harder to maneuver in tight spaces, and reduces cargo area.
