@@MiikaKontio her whole game was as good as you’d ever hope to be, tee shots in the perfect landing zone, chips always giving you a chance if not parked, and putts almost always center chains. It was definitely her weekend, was rooting for her hard after round 1 to hold it together. Love to see it.

I echo all of the Sai love, and really the outstanding character evidenced by all of the showcased FPO competitors. She played that tournament with an unexpected combination of professionalism and joy, and she backed it up with enough fortitude to keep her nerve with Tattar looking like she was finally putting it all together in this last round. I just want to add a compliment to the quality of the commentary, particularly Handley's firsthand analysis of the lines and strategies she and the others employed. I've watched a ton of coverage/replays (mostly Jomez/MPO), and while I enjoy their silly snark, Handley broke things down in a way that wasn't at all patronizing but was still very easy to understand for a layman like myself. She really gave me a much greater understanding of how the game is played, complementing the replays in a way that allowed me to enjoy them far more than I have in the past. This was a great tournament with compelling story lines and I honestly look forward to following the FPO side more closely going forward.

Belt buckles are a common prize for rodeo, so it's about as Texan as you can get. In the Olympics you get a metal coin on a piece of cloth. Not all trophies need to be big.

Congratulations to Sai! Amazing performance! Let's take a minute to talk about hole 18...Nate asked her in her post-round interview why she went for the putt instead of laying up. She said so she didn't go to a playoff with Kristen... Let's say her putt hit the cage and rolled OB. I'm not sure if she would proceed to the drop zone or take it from where it rolled out. Regardless, she would likely card a 5 and Kristen a 2. She still would have won by a stroke (if my math is correct) but why take that risk? I think her Dad was her caddy - Dad you gotta advise her to lay up and take the easy win. Close to a potential disaster - I think the disc golf world would have been devastated if Sai lost in those circumstances.

I think Sai proved one thing, calling out the disc mean ZERO. No one knew what she was throwing and one time, HH said, I dont even think they make that anymore. Also KT still not on her game and it took an unknown with a flawless tourney to win while this card was +7 of the rest of the field. FPO needs to be better, but love this girl woman winning.
