Join members of the Central York Fire Services (CYFS), York Regional Police (YRP), York Region Paramedic Services and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as they come to together to celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) 2023 and the role that first responders play in keeping the community members of York Region safe, secure and healthy. Learn how they do their jobs and how you could have a career as a first responder too.
You'll also enjoy the chance to visit with more than 20 local and regional organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs who serve York Region and beyond. From women's services organizations, community groups, local sport organizations, pet store, bookstore, Town of Aurora and Newmarket municipal representatives and more.
The day will also include a variety of demonstrations, equipment tours, interactive activities, cosplayers, free giveaways and a chance to win some draw prizes as well a chance to enjoy burgers and more from the Casalingo Burger Food Truck. Definitely, something for everyone.
