I have a friend who got a Belgian Malinois because she liked how the breed looked. Less than six months later she rehomed him. Despite my warning she thought he would be some kind of lap/couch potato dog. Mals are high energy German shepherds on turbo boost. I think people sometimes buy a Jeep thinking its like a Honda Civic...I'm gonna include my wife in that group. She drives the JLU like it's our Audi and complains that she rocks and rolls like Elvis.

I really put a Mojave to the test on a highway test drive. It was really amazing on a rough road. I went across some 1 foot deep washes at close to 15 mph, soaked it up. Same washes in a Rubicon bottomed out and slammed the Jeep. Still happy with my jlu rubicon. Wife and I also love the visibility facing forward. She hates my daughters 4Runner handling compared to our jlu.

The jl/jt line is such a great improvement of ride quality. And that Mojave suspension is outstanding. I would not trade my rubicon though. For me the front locker is priceless

I agree 100% with your perspective in this video. Especially since the dealer replaced my torsion bar mine drives awesome at speed and I would not have been able to say that for the first 1,000 miles. The Freedom panels are a huge bonus fun factor. I would have still bought the Gladiator without that feature, but the fact that it’s there is awesome. Thanks as always for your great content. Truly appreciate it.

The internet has greatly blown gladiator driving characteristics out of proportion. Par for the course I guess. My buddy took his mom for a drive in his glad with full suspension with falcon 3.3s and 37s. She was like, why does this thing ride better than her Porsche Macan 😂?

Jason, Unusual to see you and your Gladiator anywhere but offroad in the mud or in your driveway. I was worried about the reports that some early owners of the Gladiator experienced the "death wobble," but I have never experienced that and think they resolved that issue with later models. The brick-lke shape of the Gladiator and Wrangler is a large part of their visual appeal for many of us.
@Jason-Samko7 ай бұрын
Yep I dont do driving reviews much as they are subjective and opinionated. I try to stick with fact based stuff. But figured since I own it I might as well show how it drives and see what the video feed back shows. I too love the shape and toughness of the gladiator.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen the inside of a Jeep and I have to say I really, really like it. I love the round air vents and the modern but not overdone look of the control panel. It’s very similar to my ‘23 Tacoma so that could be why. 😆 In my opinion they both have just enough technology. Newer vehicles are starting to feel like cell phones on wheels and they’re just not for me. Even though I don’t own a Jeep I really enjoy your content. It never hurts to learn about new things so keep it coming! -Steph

Agree 100% on all the new tech getting to be too much. You should check out my tacoma Vida. I owned a 22 Trd off road for 20 months and loved it. Lots of videos on it in my toyota play list. I am getting my new tires on next week. Im going from stock 33's to 35's. Do i need to recalibrate with a tazer since I am going up one size?
@Jason-Samko7 ай бұрын
I would definitely recalibrate. Dealer can do it or the tazer can. 33 to 35 is a huge jump in tire size for shift points, mpgs, and other systems. It's worth re calibration

Looks pretty straight to me. All i hear negative is the rare rear main seal, water leaking in, and the door hinges oxidizing/ rusting. Far as noise , its a convertible jeep seems expected. It did seem to track straight in your video. I didn't know tracking was a problem? Been years since i heard of vehicles tracking poorly. Even jeep. You are almost convincing me to like jeeps more. Besides the tracking does it seem to "float" in the feel when driving? That's one of the things that annoys me with my kids jeep (2021) is i dont feel like i can feel the road. It's not really tracking but more of a "float" sensation . Could be the tire wheel combo. I'm wondering if people are confusing the floating sensation with bad tracking. They aren't the same things. And the days of sloppy steering racks I'm pretty sure are long gone. The older jeeps I don't remember floating like that. Least not on standard sized tires and rims. Maybe it's the wheels they come with now? Thoughts? . You consider this a good daily driver / commuter?
@Jason-Samko7 ай бұрын
Float depends on the wheel and tire combo like you said. More sidewall height more Float feel. Bit offroad the trade off is worth it. The people that complain about it wandering on the road are usually the ones that lift it 3and a half inch then put 37s on 17 inch wheels with out upgrading any steering components. Yep it's good feel like it wanders then. Over stressed components, super high up with wind effect and lots of roll in the sidewalls of the tires. Everything is a trade off. Left in stock form, heck even with so 35s it's an absolute pleasure to drive.

Toyota followed jeep high prices. I’ve noticed on the jeep configurator that you can’t get heated seats and automatic without buying the tech package. My local dealer has more manuals coming in than automatic because of that….
@Jason-Samko7 ай бұрын
Yep just released a video on the prices for the Ted pro and trail hunter. Insane. Jeep prices are high but they also offer huge discounts. Jeep and ram have a system. Launch a new year vehicle, soak as many as they can at msrp for half a year, then start discounting more and more thru the rest of the year. It works for them and works great for us. Toyota dealers on the other hand barely budge even on last year models and on new year modles often make up. Hope they both learn a lesson and bring the stupid prices down.
