Never start at the top when removing the door panel, it can damage the lip you are referring to. Start at the bottom after removing all screws and pulling the panel away to release all the retaining clips but you still did a great job installing the speaker.

Hi..It seems like a good tutorial, but I don't understand the choice of two-way speakers, I'm considering putting a woofer there and the tweeter in its place on the upright

so its the same speakers for the rear doors too?

Ohms? Great video

Nearly everything in this video was done wrong! The foam sticks on the back of the speaker - not the front as shown. The plastic adapter also goes on the back - not on the front. The adapter mounted on the front will impair the surround and speaker basket from moving correctly and eventually burn out the voice coil if it hasn’t done so already.

True, the bracket should be installed on the back side not front side 😬

If you didn't add a amp, it's still sounds like "mehh"..... I have a 2022 Kia K5 GT line. I have to video on I page where I swapped out the door speakers, It didn't help until I added the amp.
@tricountykustomz Жыл бұрын
most of the reason it could sound like meh is because this install is completely wrong and missing a number of essential pieces to make the speaker as efficient as possible. dropping a set of components in versus the coax would be the way to go. then a proper install.

That’s exactly what I was going to ask. My ‘23 GT-Line has the weakest sounding stereo I’ve ever owned, and I’ve customized all of my previous umpteen cars’ sound systems myself, but I was considering just swapping out all 4 door speakers and wondered if I would gain any punch without doing an amp too. I REALLY didn’t want to take apart the four doors on the brand new vehicle and possibly end up with a new vibration or rattle in a panel somewhere (the interior is so quiet - they did a good job with the sound dampening), so I built a modular 2.1 channel setup (100W per channel portable mini amp kit) with a 12” subwoofer and two 6x9’s in all matched tuned port enclosures with quick connects and ended up with a system I can alternate using in the car or in the house (with the TV it makes a seriously kickass “soundbar” when not in my car). But when I leave it behind in the house I always wonder - would just doing four premium speakers in my K5 without an amp gain me ANY volume? The 45 max volume level with factory speakers just doesn’t cut it. I need more bass - if only just a little. This person seemed happy with her outcome - thoughts?

Can you put a link on here? I have a 2024 and I have a sub and new speakers for the doors. I’m probably not gonna replace the ones that are in the dash because I don’t want to mess up my panel. I’m just gonna keep those the doors and a sub should be fine, but if you could put a link to that would be great
