2023 Kia Soul GT-Line (Technology Package) - POV Test Drive

I just got my 2023 GT yesterday and love it! What I love about it more than anything is it don't have that loud CVT revving noise, even on the highway when you're pushing it. The cabin is quite with little to no road or wind noise. Very smooth ride. Sound system is clear with surround sound acoustics. Radio screen is large and bright. I love it. **CONS**: It don't have wireless Apple carplay which don't make sense because it has wireless charging!

Its a licensing issue, and for some reason they can't come to an agreement. Every year they hint that they will resolve it, but never do, so someone is being pigheaded.

@@lilpeppa117G it doesn't have the CVT noise though is what he was saying, because their IVT simulates shifts. Its also a metal chain and so isn't as rubber bandy.

The Kia Soul was the best car I ever owned. I had a 2018 (Full glass panoramic) roof on it. My son rolled it off a small cliff (15-feet). Went over back first, rolled on to the top of the car and then ended up on all four wheels. The car was classified as totaled by the insurance company but in reality, the only issues I had was the number of broken windows (the top panoramic roof was intact). I also had a few dents in the body. The interior of the vehicle was intact and perfect, except for the broken glass from the windows. The vehicle had great visibility and it was a great vehicle overall. It had adequate acceleration and a great all-around electronics package (premium sound) with variable cruise control. I've owned a Porche Macan (fully loaded), Ford Explorer Limited (fully loaded), F-150 Limited Edition (fully loaded), and a convertible Mercedes E-350 Cabriolet (fully loaded). These were all new vehicles and cost $70-$100K new, and I have to say, the Kia Soul is still my favorite car. There is nothing in the Mercedes, the Porche, or any other vehicle you can get that you can't get in the Kia Soul, except the acceleration and a lot less confusion as to how all the electronics work. I'm currently looking to buy another Kia Soul so I'm getting info on what's available for 2023! Eric

Just picked up this car with the technology package. It is an amazing car. Got it out the door for $26,000 with zero down. It’s roomy and the smart cruise is a game changer in traffic

I had a 2017 Kia Soul Loved It! I was thinking about buying the Forte GT line. I just test drive yet today.😢 I got the hit a run accident a month ago and my insurance will not pay for the damages. It's too cost effectively so I am giving them my car. They're gonna buy it out for me and I will get a new car and I love Kia's. I don't care what anybody says about him and I want a new kia soul, or Forte! I really want the S5 model but I cannot afford it, not even leasing it!

I’ve just got mine with the tech package today in fire red 2023 too.😜I had a gt-line Neptune blue Kia Soul 2023. I loved it but when I saw they come with this tech package I went & I’ve traded that one for the tech package in Red. I’ve always had a Kia soul & neither one of them gave me trouble. I Definitely recommend getting one! Especially the newer ones. Also, These cars don’t last long on the lot. They worth every cent but I know they’re not for everyone. I would love a wireless CarPlay though!

You can get the digital Color Green over purple! And you have Climate vents to the rear, under the front seats! I will put 150,000- 200,000 miles on mine! My next set of wheels, if I get the Chance!!!

I test drove the 2021 Soul turbo with DCT, and I would not consider their IVT after that regardless.

Funny enough I'm actually from the area and have an appointment scheduled to possibly order a Neptune blue kia soul to Planet Kia. The other colors are not quite doin it for me, but I would settle for white or black if I had to.

Not impressed with the ‘23 GT-Line, they took too much away from the Soul. No more turbocharger No more dual clutch transmission No more paddle shift levers No more red/orange accents on exterior ….and more I’m pleased that I had enough sense to buy a new ‘22 Turbo Soul last April..it has so much more “GT” going on..

@@branden9366 Actually though..Kia didn’t use the “GT-Line” badge on the 2022 Turbo model. Even the word “Turbo” only appears once and it’s under the hood. On the other hand, there’s no shortage of the “KIA” and “SOUL” badges..with “Kia”, it’s placed 7 times while “SOUL” is placed in 5 spots!

In Canada the 22 GT-LIne Limited has the HUD. I know because I have one. The car has the same trim package(which basically is it has every option you can get on a Soul) as the Turbo which was not available in Canada. It’s a great car and the Harmon-Kardon sound system kicks major ass.

I have well had a 20217 I got into a hit-and-run accident and my insurance will not pay for the damages so they're gonna buy. Out my car and I get about $5000. That's enough to put down for me a new kia Sould I love kias and I love the soul I was thinking about to get the Forte GT line but But now I see that the soul is AGT I'm definitely thinking about that.

You wont regret it, I got it for my mom with GT line and tech package, its really good for a daily... tech was so much futuristic and easy to use, not like the dated Hondas or Toyotas plus it comes with 100k miles/ 10 years warranty

Not really, the GT Line is mainly cosmetic. The actual GT models (not on the soul anymore unfortunately) have more power but it’s still a fairly clear distinction between GT and GT LINE and literally nothing has been ruined 😂

Mini is a bit pricier although with the recent collabs with Toyota on their engines, they are getting pretty reliable with their B series engine that include the 38,48,58 variants
