It’s an awesome place for sure! It has single track and ATV trails, some gravel pits and DNR. A little bit of everything for everyone. Haha thank you very much it is a heavy bike to throw around but she’s tolerant 🤙🏼🤙🏼

I have the 1290 SAS, Love it. Would ride those trails, wet slippery conditions worry me on large heavy bikes like these. In New Zealand we have lots of yellow clay, skating rink as soon as it gets wet, and deep mud. Nice ride, every day out you improve

Oh yeah slippery wet stuff scares me on these Bohemians as well, especially if it were clay. I’ve been lucky in WA state with a fairly dry summer. Wet conditions will definitely be a challenge for me but we’ll get it!

Isn't anything better than riding the big bike trough those trails. I've brought my 890 down those same ones and it was a handful. If you wanna go back I know some friendlier tracks to get to the upper trails. Nice job!

Nice riding, interessting video, I wish we had parks like this in Europe. Have you tried riding in 2nd gear? Your bike has so much power and torque, it makes handling easier. But anyway, great job, I’d love to see more 🎉

I haven’t! It seems so low on RPM’s in first gear that I haven’t shifted up in technical terrain out of fear of stalling it and dropping it 😂 I’ll give it a try next riding season though!

TRUE, it’s bullied me to the ground a few times, mostly when I try to walk it backwards. It doesn’t like manual reverse haha thank you!

Nice! Great job handling the beast, those downhill sharp turns still freak me out to lol. I'm up in Bellingham and ride there occasionally on my 701 Enduro. Went there one of the first few times I rode it when I got it and got stuck on one the jeep bouldering trails lmao. Hit me up if you're ever up in the area again!

Haha dude those trails are definitely sketchy, im always sweating at the end, makes me feel less guilty for skipping the gym 😂. Sounds good though! Unfortunately this riding season is slowly coming to a close but maybe we will have a fast winter!

Can you share your impressions of the ‘23 (21+ model year) over the 2020 model year bike? The prior gen bikes can be found for a steal but current used models still haven’t come down much and I expect it’s not just because they’re newer but also because the improvements are noticeable ;) I’d appreciate your thoughts since you’ve owned and pushed both bikes like i do.

Just worried that my skills arent nearly that good, but i love that damn bike. Need something to do long trips and then ride trails but not to gnarly. That would be my limit what you were on for sure. Great video

Haha I appreciate that bro! I definitely try to get out of the comfort zone so that stuff has my “on the edge of my seat”. If you could see the expression of my face in the video you’d be laughing. Honestly the size of the bike looking at it is MUCH more intimidating than when you sit on it. It’s balanced well, the height is very normal, and videos on it tend to make it seem like a bigger beast than it is. It is VERY rideable. I came from a 2017 500exc-f and was scared I was biting off more than I could chew but im super happy I made the move. Being able to go 200+ miles without worrying about fuel, the comfortable ride on the road without the wind tiring me out, the cruise control and the comfort is way worth it 🤙🏼

Actually, this type of bike is not intended for this type of road. It's very troublesome to force it, it's too heavy. But maybe it's just for testing, no problem. But never take it on a road like that when on a long trip.

32” for me! The seat ergo’s make it easier to dab off of things but it still gets sketchy lol. I love it! Went from the 500excf to the 1290 after I saw it on the WABDR and haven’t looked back

when the bike falls, first thing is to kill the engine
