5 things I learned about 2023 KTM 390 adventure after 2000 km touring trip
Hi everyone I just went for a 2000 km long ride on my 2023 ktm 390 adv and got to know a lot about this bike. there are some good and some bad things.
I have summarised them in 5 things and presented the same here. Let me know if you also have some observations or any suggestions to improve the drawbacks.

You were riding with pillion.. so suspension feels soft. For solo it's not soft..

I've done 1050km ride in one strech 17 hrs of ride time -_- and total of 9k km on adv 390. Here are few issues and takeaways that I faced and learnt Suspension: I had more issues with forks (front suspension) compared to rear because of small bumps being felt, nothing on the rear suspension, I was solo with around 15 kgs of luggage. You possibly had issues because of more weight on the rear suspension, try making it softer by a point or two it should help. But bike will feel a little less stable at higher speed so try and test to figure out the exact comfort point. Brakes: Even I faced the same issue in city with regards to front break and even I did kiss the bumper of a car. Takeaways were - try to keep a bit of pressure before actually breaking. (I know it's easier said than done but practicing it will help). And along with that, use the rear brake at the same time and also keep quickshifter on. It saves time of pressing clutch during emergency downshifts. Feel free to comment your mind out. Also, Just a personal suggestion, Studds Thunder won't help just incase when needed. Upgrade that. I've been riding my KTM 390 adv for last 3 years and clocked 30k kms, regarding break yes they fade a little during long journey. Because they get hot and loose efficiency. 2 solutions: Check if brake fluid is dot4, 2nd use down shift to lower down the speed with close throttle and then brake once you are at considerably low speed and close to object. Or simply take a tea break of 15 minutes, every thing is better after tea ❤❤. Loved your video

I kept suspension on setting 10(hardest) for some 5 days.. after that it became little soft. I also have v variant.

Try hero xpulse suspension though I don't own any of these bikes but done my research.

How do u manage loosing the engine oil level in the 390?

Some people say motul oil burns faster, so get some other oil....I am using shell oil but it's has impacted my warranty.....but the best way can be useing motul and keep changing oil after 3500 to 4000 km...

Try X-pulse back suspension and it works well toooo . One of my friend is using it for his stock adv 390

I wouldnt suggest an xpulse rear shock for the adv 390. The xpulse is 100 odd kilos bike and its shocks are made for that weight and the adv 390 is heavier bike. I would rather suggest you install the adv 390 sw's rear shock which will cost about 7k

Pls go for EBC or Vesrah HH or ceramic pads I have switched to zedling rear suspension, they will make the suspension as per your needs, which is approx weight of you and pillion with luggage,your riding preference etc,It has made a big big difference, if u share your number will send u the links and photos of my bike

Bro brake ki aisi koi problem mujhe nahi lagi. May be u need to work on your technique of applying brakes. Try to apply front brake progressively n for the rear brakes u need to progressively reduce ur input after u initially apply brake as the weight gets transferred to the front wheel progressively as u apply the brakes.

Bro heating nahe hue mujhe....in big cc bikes it's normal heat....we can't compare them to small cc bikes.....but some may feel it....
