Congrats on a solid finish and thank you for the excellent video. The dust was no joke, and right from the start was crazy. Applying sunscreen at the aid stations was like rubbing sandpaper all over. That road on the final big climb seemed like it went on for a looong time. And the last mile where you turn away from the finish and snake thru the woods sure does mess with you. Good luck in the 100!

Nice - I think that puts you in a good position for the big buckle goal in August at 10hrs. More importantly: what SHOES did you end up using in the 50, and did they treat you well? Good job...
@UltraTrailSteven Жыл бұрын
I hope so! Thanks! I wore the Hoka Zinal 2. They did great, but I won’t be wearing them for the 100. Towards the end they caused a couple of spots that likely would have turned into hot spots or blisters.
@ericperramond3463 Жыл бұрын
@@UltraTrailSteven I can see that - bought a pair, but they are narrow and pretty thin in midsole protection. Not sure I'd trust them for over 50k distance fully. Glad you tested them!

That is Science in Sport Nitrate Powder: thefeed.cc/ultratrailsteven There is some science out there that shows it has an effect on the runners perceived effort at altitude. Making the effects of running at altitude less difficult.
