In this case, it is not coming through the speakers. There is a feature called ASC, which means Active Sound Control, that causes sound to be played through the speakers. However, I've owned an IS 350 myself, and in this video, it sounds like it is turned off. There is a noticeable "digital" quality to the sound when ASC is on. The car has a lot of induction noise, so it really doesn't need ASC.

Why does the RWD version come with an 8 speed auto, and the AWD gets a 6 speed? I don’t see the need for an AWD Lexus IS, even if you live in snowy areas, like me in New England, RWD cars do just fine in the winter as long as you have a set of winter tires.
