2023 Mahindra Thar RWD | Branded Content | ICN Studio

We finally got the opportunity to drive the new 2023 Mahindra Thar RWD (4x2) in an around Jaipur to see if it's better as a city car. The rear wheel drive thar comes in two engine options - a 1.5-litre D117 diesel and a 2.0L petrol. We drove the 1.5-litre diesel version that is available with a 6-speed manual transmission. It's the same engine that powers the Marazzo and XUV300. It churns out 117bhp and 300Nm, which is more than enough for this version since it has shed significant weight.

The best move would be having 1.5lt diesel engine with 4x4 as this engine also have 300nm torque. Plus then the mileage will also improve which will attract buyers a lot. And also it will still be cheaper than the current 4x4 diesel.
