Holy Moly, you got the Hammond Collection Carnotaurus early!! That is so cool, I can't wait to add this amazing dinosaur to my collection and my best friend loves the look of this because Carnotaurus is his favourite carnivorous dinosaur! I reckon with this new size range, we'll probably get an adult Stegosaurus from The Lost World. I also hope we get the Spinosaurus some day! The measurements put him at 12.4 ft tall and 28 ft long which is right on scale (19.2 scale based on 3.75 figures equaling 6 ft). The HC really is doing well in this regard as the Brachiosaurus is accurate as well and the Tyrannosaurus is equal to almost 40 ft long.

This absolutely looks like one of the best releases from the Hammond Collection so far! I'm still a bit miffed I missed out on the preorder but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Target stocks these well when they finally hit shelves. Knew I'd be psyched when they finally got to the Carnotaurus but wasn't expecting to be this excited haha. Great review!

I agree on the arms. Not only are they too big, but my understanding is that the bones were fused and could not actually move at the elbow, just at the ball-and-socket shoulder joint.

This figure is almost perfect. My main issues has to be the eyes and arms. The eyes look great at the right angles but I still don't understand why Mattel hasn't tired moving the pupils forward further so that it does not have dead eyes. The arms are weird since they put in the effort of giving it elbows when Carnos never actually had them. Honestly i would have been fine if they just reused the old arms from the previous carnos since the arms would have been smaller and accurate.. Still a 8/10 figure for me. Would totally buy it if the Hammond collection existed in my country.

The arms are accurate to the animal its portraying, which is the Carnotaurus from Fallen Kingdom. Which always had proper elbows, the figure is a representation of the film animal. Not the real one. Simple as that. Which it does quite well.

Thanks, Andy. In my opinion this is so far the best dino from Mattel. Until now I don't collect figures from Mattel. I own figures from "The beast of the mesozoic" and so on. I really think, that I need to order this Carnotaurus. I agree with you, what you say about the teeth on this Carnotaurus. The teeth are always my problem with the Mattel figures, but these ones looks very good. Sad, that Mattel didn't paint the claws on the arms. They likely will, but it will end once they're more available everywhere. But even so, this one will be very popular for sure, and I'm about a year they'll become rare like the ceratosarus being sold for 90 or more. Which is why I'ma cop it while I still can.
