2023 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Review | New Stuttgart supercar aims directly at its cross-town rival

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is a clean-sheet design that shares much of its DNA with the new Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Roadster.
So while it ditches the old model’s rear transaxle layout, AMG’s new flagship coupe takes fresh aim at the iconic Porsche 911 with more space, more seats and more tech - plus standard all-wheel drive and trick semi-active suspension - making it a better all-rounder than before.
But is that what AMG GT customers want? John Mahoney attended the global press launch to investigate.
