Seeing you go up that hill reminds me of the same issue I encountered in my Ford Focus, and I reside in Sando, where we only have hills, I was also able to get the 'Ford Trinidad Techs' to encounter the same issue that you highlighted, never me and a dual-clutch vehicle again. Great review, I'm happy to have come across this as I'm in the market for a new car, I think I'll look elsewhere (Toyota/Honda) for my needs!

The tyre pressure is shown on each tyre and even shows the temperature of the air in each tyre . It shows which tyre needs air. You have to ger acquainted with the features and how to maneuver them. I own this 9 months now bought from massy and have no issues especially what you showing. This is a driver issue. This vehicle has a auto dct and requires a learning curve to drive properly. It learns your patterns. You also have to drive on normal or sport mode. Eco is garbage. The vehicle has little to no turbo lag. There are also updates for it which tunes the dct even more. Your pricing is incorrect. The core starts now at $255k and up. The tyre on mine is maxxis and I never experienced that spin on hills even on wet roads. This seems like a very rushed review and u need to learn alot more before venturing out with the MG HS. The features are alot but I turned them off esp that auto braking. There's even a feature call traffic jam assist where it drives for itself in traffic. Check it out! Proud owner of my mg hs and love it. The comfort and driving and power is great with a ton of safety features also 5 star safety rating. This vehicle is made in china under the same factory producing volvo etc so quality is good. It's been out since 2018 and so far no major problems so fingers crossed. Please redo this review when you get more acquainted with the features and dual clutch.

I won't doubt tht few of these MG units are probably faulty and have a manufacturer's defect. You was fortunate enough to get one without issues. I believe Trinidriver47 didn't rush review

@@nkosicollier4984 do some research on the australian and UK market very little to nothing reported of engine or transmission defects. There's even youtube videos with the engine and tranny scrap down and guy saying it's built very well as he have seen major brands with way more faults and problems at his garage. Yes trinidriver need to learn the vehicle features as it affects the way it drives and performs. Example he bashed the tyre pressure monitor not showing which tyre is low and it shows every single tyre and the temperature. Also it needs to be driven in normal or sport mode esp on those hills as eco is failure. The model of michelin tyre has problems with wet surfaces hence the spin. It is known in australia and the tested. Mine came with maxxis and it's excellent in rain and wet conditions. This vehicle is for seasoned drivers and who willing to learn and master how to drive a computer controlled DCT. I love it so far and it's been 9 months. Also my engine DO NOT sound like what he says there. Lawnmower nothing! Besides trinidriver HATES DCT so this review was expected. Also who would drive up a hill then slow down to 4 to 1 then to 4 km again. That WILL heat up the clutch and tranny then he proceeds to go up even higher at 40km then drop the speed to 5 or less again then it overheats again with a tyre spin. Totally a driver issue. I NEVER experience this nonsense i seeing. Trinis need to get their heads out of Toyota and Nissan. It's a great vehicle and has good quality as it's being made in the same factory as Volvo and others.

You are right about trinis tho because I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and ppl were asking why I buy tht. I've had it for 6 years and never had any issue. I love the fact tht it comes wit a full sized spare wheel and mirror indicators for a basic model. Drove to the tippy top of Paramin and no issues. I've personally never heard of the MG brand before and was always doubtful but I'm glad to hear your experience wit it has been a great one 🙌🏿

This made me laugh but you said you did your "research" and if you did you'll know that they currently have a recall in Australia due to the transmission over heating in basic drive. In the UK where the weather is much colder than australia these vehicles still were struggling. In australia MG had to add a transmission oil cooler to help with the over-heating problems. If I knew how to add links on here I would of. But you has yours for nine months and I hope it never give you any problems.

A couple of thing TD47, what trips up most dct's is reversing on inclines, not going up inclines. Also were you trying that Hill Run in Eco mode? That might explain some of the clutch issues you were having. The first incident on the hill is the hill hold assist feature which most new cars have these days and is a byproduct of the stability control program. It holds the car on a hill for 3 to 4 seconds and then it disengages because its an assist. You are correct that many dct's dont have a creep mode, but this does and it has auto hold which makes traffic alot more comfortable as you just press the gas to get going again without holding the brake.
