Amen so awesome! I would love to turn the back yard of our church into a Milpa garden. Not sure if this is still happening but what a fantastic idea.

We ordered 10 lbs of Milpa Garden for a 1/4 acre test garden at our central Missouri farm which is mostly for deer/turkey hunting and habitat management. We are also doing 12 acres of Summer Release in the food plots. Any idea how hard the deer and critters will hammer the Milpa Garden plot? Several items are definitely in their diet.

They likely will hit it pretty hard at times - kind of all depends on what else is available to them and how many deer you have... It will be interesting to see what they browse on throughout the Milpa growing cycle, so keep us posted as I would be interested to know

@@keithberns910 I will definitely put a cell-camera on it. We are really curious if we will incorporate this on a larger scale, next year, as an edge or row on some or all of our food plots...the thought is to provide more diverse food options, hold the deer and turkey on our property and have some fun in the process.

Got my corn in the ground in Arkansas 3 weeks ago. Waiting to get everything else broadcast until the corn gets a little bigger. Excited to give back to the community!!!

Glad to see the sweet corn is separated. That was an issue last year when I did this program. This is a great program and benefited my community here in iowa
