The color footage of 1966 and 1967 came from clips included in the 1983 documentary special "The World of Miss Universe." Miss Universe 1966 to 1971 were all originally broadcast in color on CBS but rumor has it that a flood (likely after 1983) damaged the original copies in the CBS archives so to date, there appears to be no existing complete copy of Miss Universe: 1962, 1964, 1965 and 1967 and there appears to be no complete color copy of Miss Universe 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1971 but black and white versions do exist today but 1967 only appears to have the last 28 minutes available. Other official copies have chunks missing like 1975 which is missing the judges and the first half of the swimsuit competition.

@@PiggySiblingsOfficial Lamentably, no. 1964 cuts off after the top 10 are announced so Ieda's farewell, the complete crowning and announcements of the runners-up are missing and 1975 has part of middle missing (as previously mentioned missing the judges and 1st half of swimsuit competition)
