Thanks to your incredible review, I bought a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL. You were spot on with everything you mentioned in the review. As a former owner of luxury brands such as Audi, Lincoln, and Mercedes-Benz, I can attest that the level of quality of the Outlander is on par (if not better) than what you’ll find in those luxury models. This vehicle is far underpriced for what you are getting. Kudos to Mitsubishi! ❤️💯🎉

I must say, excellent review of this 2023 Outlander! I love that you're always striving to improve your reviews, hence the recent addition of mentioning the VIN and where the car is produced. Like you, I'm also very very impressed. Looks like a 60k-70k Audi, not an 35k Mitsu.

Great review! I just bought a 2023 SL model with the Bose system, panoramic roof and some other options. Great vehicle! I've had a lot of cars, trucks, SUVs and motorcycles and this is on par if not better than some of the more expensive vehicles I've had. Plus it's got a great warranty. Very pleased with my purchase, and again, great job on the video.

I had a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer for ten years. Most reliable car I've ever owned. I literally did nothing during that decade other than regular maintenance. I'm sort of sad that this model is now a "Mitsu-nissan". I don't think the Nissan 2.5 is a piece of unreliable trash, but I had such good luck with the Mitsubishi built 2.4 in my car I wish they'd had the resources to do their own drivetrain.

I just bought the 2023 Misu Outlander SE and to me, I feel like I’m driving a luxury car. This is my second Outlander. I just love the adaptive cruise control and the way it keeps you in your own lane until you use the turn signals to change lanes. And does every Mitsubishi O. have a satellite riding above them. Because I’ve been looking for the Drone overhead and can’t see it. 🤷‍♂️ I got mine with 6 miles on it. 😁 Nice Review. Thank you.

@@Blackhawk556. One woman had one trading it for a Highlander and hated it so she came back and traded for another Outlander bc she missed her old one. I rarely see this in the shop for anything; now every now and again we have one or two that have had problem. But with any manufacturer that is to be expected. The only complaint I have heard is with the third row you loose a lot of cargo space.

Great review, as always! I was wondering if the '23 Outlander was going to get the 1.5 turbo 3-cyl like the Rogue; Interesting to see that they didn't. I really like the new-gen Outlanders but I wish the 3rd row seat was an option. I wouldn't need it and would rather have a spare tire!

The Australian Version has a Space Saver Spare and a 3rd row at the same time, you can use a I think 2010 Nissan Murano Spare, it will fit in the back.

Agreed. I liked it so much that i bought it and simply removed the 3rd row for extra space. I also had a buddy who is a welder modify a back outside spare tire holder that was originally designed for a nissan armada. I also installed a large roof rack that i mounted a light bar on. It is by far my favorite vehicle that i have ever owned or even seen honestly. Its the perfect cross between classy luxury and utility. The last touch i put on was to get the windows an extra dark tint. I get many compliments daily

They do have it in that configuration in the cheaper models. Avoid that engine it is terribly small and wont last to 100K. Also it their is a problem with it, it will cost a fortune to fix as it has way to many different moving parts.

I saw this vehicle this morning on my way to work while on the freeway, from the back it's tail-lights resembles a Highlander or I dare say an X-5, but with only 181HP, I just can't see myself paying $35k. It has everything going for it (except I don't like the infrotainment unit, looks like an after thought), ty for reviewing this vehicle, very interesting vehicle, but like you said they need to stick a V6 in there...CHEERS!
@ericblair6984
@ericblair6984 2 жыл бұрын
I hate to burst your bubble, but the Infotainment system is from Nissan. They put the same one in Infinitis. It is definitely not an afterthought. As for the engine, there is a trade off. It gets about 30 MPG on the highway. You will not find a V6 that matches that. I've found the power more than adequate. If I had a gripe, it is the CVT. It acts flaky sometimes, especially when it just started on a cold day.

Most luxurious Mitsu yet. However unless I was unloading before the 100k mile warranty or was leasing, I wouldn't be interested in this rebadge Nissan Rogue. This borrowed powertrain doesn't have a good reputation for CVT reliability. I'd instead be much much more interested in the new Outlander PHEV. That powertrain is DEAD RELIABLE and 100% Mitsubishi designed.
@mohsinnasir7453
@mohsinnasir7453 Жыл бұрын
I Agree with you on the CVT but when mitsubishi and nissan shared the platform, Mitsubishi took the CVT and programmed it themselves which in return made it more reliable than the nissan rougue CVT. The mitsubishi CVT is far more reliable and the AWD system on the Mitsubishi is probably one of the best in the market.
@kylemas2005
@kylemas2005 Жыл бұрын
@Mohsin Nasir Yes, Mitsubishi uses INVECS III CVT programming which utilizes a less harsh torque converter and you're right, their AWC is legendary. I'd still be nervous though after the warranty period.

@magnuscat can't argue with that. But honestly, most people only keep their car for 10 years or so. I would change the car at around 200k. Or 8 -9 years. The government will make gas prices so high within the next 5-6 years that people will have to choose electric. The technology will also be much better as so will the charging speeds. In Canada BC, we are at around 2.19 cents per liter. That is projected to go up to $4 per liter within the next 6 years or so.

Nice vehicle, but Mitsubishi has very low sales figures which would caution me to stay away. For decades, Mitsubishi never really established themselves as their own brand, and relied on other companies like Chrysler and Nissan for manufacturing, and basically renamed them. The Outlander is built on the Nissan Rogue platform. Mitsubishi's are "Hard Sells" especially in the pre-owned market. Dealership will beat you up come trade-in time.

@Kratos and loki I mean toyota is toyota. Great quality and reliability. But their cars are so boring and badly made. The rav 4 is nothing compared to the outlander. The rav 4 interior is smaller,cramped, ugly,not cozy, and comffee and not a smooth ride. The outlander does all the opposite and is just overall much better.

I have a cvt Xtronic maxima v6 & 10 years going strong just normal maintenance, Toyota Tundra v8 7 years been great just normal maintenance and still like the cvt better it’s a smoother ride

Such a joke, 4 cyl. CVT that has a sluggish and hazardous acceleration, but guess what they will give a cool blue-ish gadget toy on the dashboard just to make it look futuristic.

I own one and i cant really say it underpowered at all. (Unbiased review because i have driven many cars). I looked at the Huyndai Tuscan, Santa FE and the Toyota rav 4. This car gives probably one of the best milage. I can get on highway and merge without a single problem. Its a 3 Row SUV so i dont Expect my self to be racing in this. I have taken this car to a track and in tarmac with Traction off with maual mode it did much better than i thought. The reason i bought this Car was becasue of the warrenty and the features i can gatting for the price i am paying. Its much bigger than the tuscon and the rav 4 and much more smmother and quiter. The rav 4 is basicallyt all plastic and the Huyndai is not that great either. The santa Fe is good but wayy to expensive and the base model has basically no feature here in caanda. 0 - 100 kps is about 8 sec which is all you want with a 3 row family suv.

Don't put regular gas in this vehicle!!! It will cause it not to start. Use plus or premium!!
