So - a TI model plus the cost of a lift kit, a very good suspension upgrade and bash plate? AT is similar to HT tyres so not a major cost difference there. I'm a bit disappointed they haven't done more. I'm hoping that since this is a pre-production model then perhaps the finished version might have a bit more...even a bit of effort on using one of their existing infotainment systems (from the X-trail) would be a great step.

I agree, an infotainment upgrade would be a huge step for this car. But I think the suspension and LT tyres are are good move. It will really depend on where the land with the price, in comparison to a Ti.

Crunched the tyre numbers and came up with 34.2 inches. A long way off 35. Springs, dampers, wheels, exhaust - I was expecting more from a company specialising in custom builds. Can't see 20K extra in it.

They had every option available to them, and they chose piano black - the most hated, yes, even more than the wood, interior trim. Flat black would have been better. I guess I can always sand it back when I get mine 🙂

​@Drivecomau When we look how much the car cost we shouldn't have to vynal wrap anything or customise anything. The new Pathfinder had great interior why couldn't they do the same to the patrol. The car is big and comfortable no doubt but for 100 plus you have a large choice of cars to consider.

It does not matter that Australia is RHD, what does matter is that NISSAN and other manufacturers treat RHD countries with utter contempt because they do not want to spend money on doing compliance (which are regulated) so the lazy option is to keep on selling crap that is outdated. They need to be named and shamed for trating RHD countries with such contempt.

Nissan Australia is allocated about 6000 patrols per year. They sell every single one of them like hotcakes. Even if a new interior was introduced, they wouldn’t sell anymore because of the allocation process from Nissan in Japan. The only time the RHD countries will see an updated interior is when the Y63 is introduced, as disappointing as it is.

yeah but the interior sucks, RHD countries have been shafted again by not getting the upgrades the LHD models gets. Also no upgrade to the V8 and the claim is its too expensive to upgrade due to emissions compliance it a total load of SHIT as there are ways around that as per 3rd party manufacture status but PREMCAR don't want to make compliance plates for the vehicles as they are sold as NISSAN warranty vehicle. Also come on NISSAN and Premcar, it would not be that hard to get a 3rd party manufacturer to create a compatible infotainment system which is Android/Apple compliant for the centre dashboard, that is being lazy on their end.

Premcar told us they investigated fitting a supercharger, and even test drove one to weigh it up. But they opted to keep the project simpler and less expensive. At least, those keen on a blower can still do it on top of the Warrior treatment
