Enjoy the new transmission in 100K miles or less. My advice is sell/trade it ASAP. CVT transmissions are a POS.

I also have a 2023 Versa manual. Some thoughts: - Reduced power issue: I suspect it's related to the vdc system. I cant prove it, just a hunch. If you read the owners manual it describes how the system works, and when the issue strikes it feels like the VDC is just turned up to "max." I always turn it off as I'm not a fan of electronic nannies. But yes sometimes I stall the car and then boom, get hit with the issue. What seems to undo it for me is turning off the car, getting out, closing the door, then getting back in and then turning it on. - for MPG I'm closer to EPA average however I'm in a lot of stop and go driving. I wish my roads were like yours! - overall I'm really enjoying the car, no regrets.

Have you driven the Sentra to compare rev hang between the Versa and Sentra. I'm looking at both, the Sentra seems to have more rev hang. Thanks.

I have not driven a manual Sentra, and I don't really see any rev hang in my Versa. My Civic Si had rev hang really bad so I am familiar with it.

Yes it does way better than the government rating. Even if that display was off by a couple MPG it's still way better. I made some videos about fuel economy.

I’ve had mine about a month. I have just under 2900 miles on it. Had to drive 270 miles to get it. One thing I’ve noticed is the blower motor is extremely sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Do you have issues with your blower noticeably speeding up and slowing down? I had it to the dealership because I was reading a voltage fluctuation of 12.1-13.8 volts driving down the road. The blower follows the voltage perfectly. Service department ran bench diagnostics and said it’s fine. The voltage fluctuation is normal with load based voltage regulation and that the sensitivity is just a quirk. They couldn’t replicate it and wouldn’t drive down the road. Told me not to worry about it because it’s a versa. Like the stall issue, is this common?

@@erohr636 Congrats on your new Versa! I do have the same thing with the blower motor. . I also notice an idle fluctuation, but all my Versas did the same thing. Would you mind taking 5 minutes to file a complaint with NHTSA about the power issue? I am trying to get them to issue a software update to fix it. It could put some non-car savvy people in a dangerous situation.

⁠@@erohr636yes, it’s common. I’ve never had any drivability problems with the car. But can attest that the Versa is just sensitive and it hasn’t been consistent but is more pronounced in more in the summer with the higher heat outside.

I managed to snag a 2024 today with a manual. I really like it so far but I think I have noticed the stall/reduced power issue

How did you find one I can't find one in the state of Florida and the salesman is just trying to get me to buy a cvt one witch I don't want at all I bought an old 2000 cavalier with a standard and have drove it a little over a year now and I fell in love with standard transmission I told the salesman I would rather not have one if I can't get a standard

Do your door lock buttons eliminate at night? Mine does not light up and it’s so hard to find it at night . Great car though 👍

Same, although I wouldn't say they eliminate entirely, it just seems like they're off at inconvenient times. Although I don't consistently pay attention to when they're off or on, I just notice it when it's an annoyance.

Despite the scenery it looks like you're cruising at 40 mph at over three RPM which was hard to watch. Other than that I hope more people save money and get this car which is probably all that most people ever need.

This car is designed to run at high RPMs. Check out my highway cruising high RPM video. It does close to 4K RPM on the highway in 5th gear

At highway speeds in fifth gear you have no choice. At 40 miles an hour you do. I Currently drive a manual with a 1.6. How long have you been driving with a stick shift?

2024 they fixed that issue & one thing I had to do is add a aftermarket alarm so i can open the doors & I added option to open the trunk also as the Versa S does not come with a remote fob. Other downfalls is the rear seats do not fold down to make more space in the trunk & the radio sounds horrible as no apple carplay or android auto & no HD Radio either. There is no aftermarket stereo kit to fit the 2020-2024 Versa. Carvana is a bad place as they selling stolen vehicles & issuing bad checks. Vehicle is made in Mexico as quality control bad there. What state are you in?

The power loss issue is still present on the 2024 cars. I have had lots of comments letting me know that.

@@youtoobe169 Wow mine not yet lose power & only issue is lots of road noise as the tires are crappy to be expected on a low priced vehicle. I can also skip gears from 1st to 3rd etc. & no issues. I put better tires on mine & much quieter now. I saw inspection sticker on your window as you have it there what state you in? We not have any inspections & emissions here in Florida & Carolinas.

What keyless entry and alarm kit did you get? I have called a few shops near me to add keyless entry, and they tell me they don’t have the details yet for the 2024 versa so try again in a few months.

Seems like the rpms are to high. Seems dumb that they would do that. Most cars back in the day that are manuals would run lower rpms. Better fuel economy. Focus manual was good. Similar hp. Had a 6 speed transmission. And they had it a number of years ago. Versa falls a little short of what it should be. They could have taken something ok and made it great.

I did some videos about high RPMS in this car as that's my #1 comment. Mainly, consider you can buy this brand new car for under $17K, so there will be some things that need to happen to meet that price point. An old school transmission is one of them.

@youtoobe169 think most people wouldn't have a problem paying another 500. to have a 6th gear. Being people travel more. And use the freeway. 6th gear would be great and add to better fuel economy. Actually would pay for itself over time in the increase of fuel economy. Maybe someday they will do it.
