Just bought Borealis, for hiking. The water hose (from hydration bladder) goes through the top loop of shoulder strap but still has a long length loosely/awkwardly hanging. Any ideas to secure it more? What is the small loop on the chest strap for?

How can this be your favorite backpack? It’s terrible. So many design mistakes. I’ve only seen one review mentioning these. DO NOT BUY THIS BACKPACK, PEOPLE!!! There is only 1 good thing besides the laptop compartment and that is the materials. The materials used are good…really good. I wonder how so many reviewers miss these huge design mistakes. Do they have any knowledge of backpacks at all and what to point out as cons and not well-thought out solutions? I doubt it. I wish I didn’t waste money on this bag.

@@groberti Furthermore this just shows me how little one actually can trust these reviewers in knowing what they talk about. One has to have in mind, that KZbin, as great as it is, has its limits in regard to being useful information. One has to be able to sort out scammers from those who know. This is what KZbin has opened up to become; random unimportant people suddenly seeing an opportunity to become something. People that, the world prior to KZbin, wouldn’t be given any slot in public history. I’m talking about awful reaction-videos, reviewers, “KZbinrs” and so on. This is the downside to KZbin imho. A great platform all in all, but one has to be careful. It can cost you a lot of money. Let’s say it’s a review of expensive stuff like guitars or what not. Trusting a guy on KZbin can cost you a lot of money, if they don’t mention the bad stuff or the stuff that people MIGHT find bad; only because they really have no clue about what they’re doing. This is just the perfect example. Only good thing is, that buying this bag will not ruin your economy. I have a good example: Back in 2010 I got a lot of money back from taxes and stuff and wanted a specific guitar, that at that time cost $4,500 - a lot of money - today $5,500. So I went on KZbin to seek reviews; possibly mostly to confirm that my dream guitar was the perfect match. And the reviews I saw, didn’t focus on something that would eventually end up being the demise of my “love” for this guitar. I wasn’t prepared to be objective, when entering the music store to try it. I wasn’t focused on the neck profile being a potential problem for me. But it became just that and after many years of just lying in its case, I sold it a couple of years ago. I didn’t lose a lot of money thanx to inflation that has pumped the prices up. So the used price came close to the price of new back in 2010. Not the point though. The point being that too many people use KZbin to seek some feeling of being something and that there are shit among that. So when I see reviews like this, it just reminds me of the unsafe world of KZbin reviews. And claiming that one just should use one’s common sense to navigate through good and bad is not a universal concept. How would you know, that this bag is crap? You do not believe me, but you would most likely belief the many great reviews on KZbin. They can’t possibly be wrong; this amount of reviews cannot possibly all be wrong. And guess what. They AREN’T wrong. They are just an opinion; a personal opinion based upon personal knowledge and personal experience; thus not achieving to paint the greater picture - they don’t see the design mistakes - they are not aware of these details; so how can they describe them? They can’t, so they aren’t actually wrong. They are just subjective and showcases lack of knowledge; to those who know. These videos do not aim at objectivity. That might be their initial goal though, but fail miserably trying. They are poison. I realize that you might not read my responses and that you might not care. That’s fine. But buy the bag if you feel certain about it being a great bag. It’s people’s own choice and I couldn’t care less. I just provided some advice; from my personal experience with the bag, that is NOT mentioned. Buy the bag, be happy 🙂.

@@briannielsen9556, you didn't answer the question in the comment above from @groberti. What are the "huge design mistakes" in this backpack? You seem to think they are numerous. Please outline outline them. Thank you.
