2023 Opel Mokka SRi 'ICE' review

Opel has arrived in NZ with a bang, we take the hip and funky Mokka ICE (or is that an iced Mokka) for a spin and revel in its 3-cylinder engine note. It's a fun drive with oodles of modern Berlin-esk style

@@TarmacLife she bought it 😍 and she loves it. Good car!! The only problem we’ve had so far is the cruise control fault error but it’s a quick system reset. Otherwise drives perfect 👌🏼

From the summer of 2023 it has a new engine with a timing chain and 6 hp stronger, - if you choose the manual gearbox - which is recommended, it is, however, a change that is kept secret...

@@TarmacLife yep probably.....am very lucky as a retiree to lease cars from the Vauxhall range. Currently have a crossland gs , but looking at the mokka next time. Thanks for the review.

I drive a 2009 Citröen C4 1.6hdi...I was considering this as a replacement... Has anyone else notice that although it is a smaller size car, same weight and it has more than 15 years of technological advancements in the field of economy and ecology, this thing actually spends a lot more fuel and emits a lot more co2 than a 2009 car?! Hard to justify a trade in. I will keep my current car.

Could be a crap car, 3 cylinders never seem to last long with turbo. Also lots of bad problems with electrics on this car I heard.

Agree that it's a lot of pressure on a 3 pot, but we haven't heard of many issues so far. Let us know what you've found out.
