Last year's double barrel blend was great, but my favorite of the ones I have had was the heavy char rye. That was a great bottle 🥃 cheers.

Only had 1 Parker’s before. My folks brought it back from KY a few yrs ago, they lucked out randomly at Heaven Hill one morning. I didn’t really realize how limited of a release it was at the time and just crushed through it with friends on a few sipping sessions on the front porch, it was so good…keeping an eye out for another one ever since

I have the Orange Curaçao finish and Heavy Char Wheat, the latter I prefer and enjoy more. My wife and I both loved the 8yr Rye and the 10yr Rye, both her favorites.

Great review! Looking forward into trying this release as I do enjoy a good rye. Favorite release I’ve had so far is probably the heavy char bourbon or 11 year from 2017. Keep up the great videos.

Have you had the blend of masbills release from like 2012? I recently tried a sample from a friend and it was insane. Like the old ECBP pirate bottles but even better

I have never tried a Parker’s before. It’s just one of those things you don’t see in PA, even at a bar. I will have to try a pour the next time I go through KY. Cheers

Great review, Brian! What did you think of the 10 yr Heavy Char (120 pf)? I found it really fell flat. I was super excited after trying the double barrel but I found it to be a let down

I’ve gone back and forth on that bottle more than most. I’ve enjoyed it, found it boring, loved it, didn’t like. Overall, I do really enjoy it but find it a bit lacking complexity. The HHSS toasted is a great comparison bottle for it. Did you like the double barrel?

@@abandonbourbon Really loved the Double Barrel; I’m a huge fan of Heaven Hill in general. I had the double barrel after a line up of hitters (PVW15, ER17, OF17) and it just felt like going home. Didn’t blow me away like some of those, but it was the most familiar and most quickly enjoyable of the lot, totally crushable.

The 2020 Heavy Char release is my favorire Parker's bottle ever. If anyone has 1 and wants to trade please let know. I've got a lot of bottles to offer.

The wheat release was fun, but I find these don't usually live up to the hype. Hoping the rye knocks that trend!

I feel like after release number eight or so, they started to drop off. The first several batches were amazing but now they’ve been a little bit of a let down
